In terms of the number if birds it's not just newer players. It's extremely unlikely older players ever had 1000. What happened is that before the RR you got that achievement for having 500. Then it got changed to 1000, but if you already had it, you kept it.

Yeah, I think there is a grey area in this game about what counts as an exploit, and what doesn’t. The time stretching is an obvious example bc it IS an exploit, yet.. lots do it, bc it’s there. Same with empty sim run strategy, it’s also an exploit. So.. play as you like I think, as long as CL gets paid.

If you still have stuff you can plausibly buy in the primary sim or reality engine, spam reboot as often as you can be bothered (every 10 mins works).

If you are late game, do 'empty sim': start the SIM but don't buy any generators in primary until 3 weeks have passed. Then buy.

Time Crystals (not chambers). They grow slowly for 2 1/2 weeks, then get super high, maxing at 21 days.

Maxed crystals give big multipliers to your metabit and knowledge income. And if you wait to buy, all your income gets the multiplier.

I am super low on Sims. Deliberately so (a challenge I set myself when I started playing).

I've done 16 resets (although one of those was as part of the transfer when the Reality Reboot happened)

The game-breaking bit for me is that the empty sim game play is boring.

I imagine for those who don't know about empty sim, their issue is they'll never get near the end.

When I tested on another save a few weeks ago. A normal 21 day run did get me enough to buy GE. But it was maybe 2 GE worth, while an empty run got me 60 GE worth

Hey sorry we didnt get to address this when you first typed it here, but we have talked internally about it a bit and are working on a fix for it potentially. Also, all the new content that we release should be able to be completed in a reasonable amount of time by all players without using this 21 day empty sim meta

i assume that means quite some rebalancing cause currently the spam rebooting runs are nowhere near "a reasonable amount of time"

the 7d empty sim run was over 1300x as effective as the normal one
which means i would have had to do ALOOT of normal runs to even reach the potential of 1 empty run

I saw that an 21 day empty sim run gave me about 10 Million times the benefits of a quick sim run of about 10 minutes. That's how broken it is.

So of course a person is going to use that strategy, once they know it exists.
