See, the benefit of the crystals and chambers, whatever multiplier is there, happens when the generator is incremented. That’s the key. You want it when the mult is like 1000x and not 2.5x or whatever.

Empty sim runs mean that when you start buying generators your time multipliers are fully maxed. So you'll get oodles more metabits and knowledge.

It does tank your entropy/idea/XP income for that run. But that's likely not important where you are in the game.

You get most of your fills in the first 11 days until idea time chambers fill, after that the fill rate plummets. The knowledge chambers are a bit under 100 each at that point for a ~10,000x multiplier, so by waiting, you multiply the 11 days of fills by 100x (1m / 10k).

It's a sad strategy.

it’s not even in game time, it’s how the time nodes in RE work only (an obvious bug)

If you ||leave the game open and on screen in another sim, when you go back to primary the Time nodes double count your in game time||.

I've not tested, but others have and confirmed. It does explain the delta that lots have noticed.

You can but it will not nearly be as effective. The crystals boost efficiency of converting your entropy/idea earnings into metabits/knowledge. And the first fills are the fastest. So it is better to wait for the crystals to max out which only go fast at the end near 18-21 days.

I think that the first time the game wants to restart it through the Singularity generator (it unlocks stuff).

But they've changed a lot of that since I was at that stage, so I might be wrong.

It's the same thing. Only the first reset goes via the singularity generator. Any further ones are done via the reality engine interface.

Each simulation you run earns you stuff during the run (entropy and ideas) that you can spend on that run to play the primary SIM.

It ALSO earns you metabits and knowledge that you only get when you reboot. You spend these in the Reality Engine to make future runs faster/better.

The game probably compares your local device time with the server time of the event. Check to be sure that your time and date are correct. It is recommended to load a save from before the issue because sometimes the game will flag a player as cheater if date/time are incorrect.

I got all time chambers and crystals before I started the run. You should buy any time chamber and crystal that you can afford before going into the 21 day not buying anything strategy. If you are close, do a shorter run to afford them and then go for the full 21 days. However, you do not need all crystals to be effective. Keep an eye on your reality engine to see when the last time crystal you have is maxed. It may be less than 21 days if you do not have all of them.

The 21 day run is about time crystals and less about time chambers.
