Well with leaderboards back, I'm even more confused on how people have gotten to super-high RL levels. Interestingly, it looks like they significantly nerfed entropy. I have 8x less entropy after 6 minutes, and by the time I finish buying upgrades, probably 1000x more ideas (it was 100 after the first reboot and keeps going up by a lot each time).

I tested out 'reset Simulation' in the three bar menu.

It wiped my entropy/idea/metabit/knowledge earnings and nodes (except for the Next Level nodes I think). It didn't touch anything I'd spent Logits or Darwinium on. It didn't touch Meso or Beyond

Before the update it sorted everything by efficiency. Now it sorts it on what you can afford. Which is useless because what is most efficient is rarely what you can afford.

You don't need to do that, you really don't. You can look already and see where the majority of your entropy + ideas production is coming from, it tells you for each producer what it is. Max that. With the leftovers, buy the rest (bc there's node(s) in RE that benefit from it). That's it. Like.. it's that easy. Mindless even.

I think that's fair. 🙂

Yet there's probably a reason for amphibians have a smaller section than mammals. I wanna say it's due to amphibians being able to be categorised into fewer categories than mammals, but I don't have any evidence to back that up.

Rebalance past update is definitely interesting. Entropy way slower, Ideas ludicrously faster (faster than entropy now). I've worked out that the knowledge boosts are just linear, so a 1.12x increase in the multiplier just gives you 1.12x more knowledge. The math of translating that from the levels is weird -- it's worth more at the start and the least at the end. Still trying to work out what other boosts give you. 5x from modern mastery (when it was already 99% of my ideas) gave me 1.11x increase in knowledge. Unified theory gave me 99x ideas and 1.54x knowledge.

If you're going to reboot a lot, I think it's worth doing at least 2 of the 30s idea taps.

I really like the update. I was so frustrated by how slow the idea tree was progressing after Reality Reboot. They now totally fixed it.
