i sorta chalked it up to me over-inflating a particular run with time warps and such, thereby increasing my multipliers of total generators and such and then i hit lvl 70 (but sent me to 71) and then i reset sim to cash in on some RE nodes, and my progress felt like a snails pace (this was ~24 hrs ago)

but things are better now than even pre-reset ~27 hrs ago

Ok, definitely you will want to grab the “low-hanging fruit” when you decide to next to a reboot: increments of Idea Speed Booster III, Idea Booster IX, and Knowledge Booster IV, Devote 1 reboot to each. Unified Theory gives you 123x, so it’s probably worth knocking that out… with how idle is working, either do that the usual reboot way, or idle for a few days, either one. And, yeah, finishing off Modern Mastery IV is huge too

What I don’t know but am in the process of finding out, is how much being idle (excepting autoclicker) for a 10 days will give me. That might turn out to be the overwhelmingly best option now (since the update)

yeah so i went to bed last night and i had accumulated labout 5CC and when i checked today for the first time about an hour or so ago, i was at ~32CC, and then a few asteroid/autoclicker runs with nanobots sent me up to 70CC pretty quick. i think im going to let it sit tonight and see wher eit is tomorrow night. it seems like somewhere in the first 24 hours, theres a sharp growth curve that happens on its own

Don’t buy Black Holes or other temporary items that cost Darwinium unless you don’t mind buying it from the store at need.. you will need Darwinium to progress in Primary at certain points, and to fully get everything will be somewhere around 4000 to 5000. You do get some free darwinium as you play, but to get that amount for free will take a few years maybe.

It's a strategy. For most of the events, at any point there's a single best generator per resource and it's only worth buying that one (occasionally there are two that are comparable). So I don't bother to buy the useless ones until it's time to reset. How much to buy is tricky. If I'm going to be away for a while, I buy out the best generator. If I'm going to be back soon, I buy some but not all the way since the last 20 or so are very expensive and I'd rather have the resources to buy the upgrades. Effectively I'm trying to figure out whether I can buy more generators or more generator equivalents from an upgrade.

So here's a thing. I'm still on 42_24 and patiently waiting. My Time Crystals hit max a few days ago (at ~700 hours on the graph). I expected my metabit/knowledge earnings to flatline (as my entropy/ideas did when my Time Chambers maxed out). But my metabits/knowledge still seem to be growing fine?

Best guess is it's the quantization. Notice that you get vertical jumps after a flat plateau and the width of that plateau has gotten wider, so it's possible it has slowed down, but it hasn't been long enough for you to tell. In the same way that the graph from start-168 looks much steeper than the graph beyond that. If you don't reset for the update, you'll probably know for sure in a week.

I get the same quantization problem with my metric of MB/K 6 minutes after reboot. I have to make enough progress for it to matter.

Um. So I've had both a Metabit fill and a knowledge fill since I hit x1000. My current knowledge bar is just under half way filled - implying it's going to complete at roughly the time 'expected' from when my Crystals were growing (it's a linear bar, not exponential)..

I don't know if it's still exponential, if it's slowed down I'm not sure we'd be able to tell yet. It's already slowed down a lot (you're at what looks like about 4 days to fill.
Consider drawing the linear fit for the first week and thinking if you keep adding data how long you have to add before it become clear there are two segments.
My guess is at least half a week, and possibly a week, and that's in the period when that gives you lots of data points. You only get ~2 data points/week.

Maybe someone can clear something up. Cause Im pretty hot right now. I've spent a lot of cash in this game. Im retired, and love idle games. This one has been a big win for me, so when Im playing something I enjoy, I like to put a couple hundrend bucks towards the devs so they keep building, right? No harm no foul. Except wow... I just prestiged dinosaurs for the first time and boy did that put a filthy taste in my mouth to have spent real money on the special offers they like to highlight with the little cards for geodes and dinosaurs, only to have all that mutagen wiped out and the very highly leveled dinosaur cards gone.

Prestige only preserves silver and gold cards and on first prestige adds one as well, iirc. Idr if it explicitly states these things or not. There’s no performance benefit to doing prestige anymore, though there is darwinium to be earned, and I think you get mutagen as well?

It didn’t need to. It had the limit it had, and the nodes on the tree related to this are cheap (as you see) and are straightforward. So now you have a 3d limit like the rest of us 🙂

It sounds to me like Beyond, Meso and Events have a default 72h cap, and in the primary sim nodes have to be bought in the RE to get to 72h. Which doesn't seem especially weird to me.

(It has been a long time since I didn't have the full 72h for everything though).

For people in outbreak who want to keep their badges even, I can offer the following data: when entering the outbreak event every ~5 mins with 150% boost and x4 ad boost and using offline doubling and buying upgrades then most efficient generators it took me 5.5hours to get all 3 badges.

Make of that what you will.

Like for me it’s things like “if I don’t do this thing, me or someone I care about it going to get an extremely bad illness and die” 😂 (not funny but sometimes ye just need to laugh). For me - with lots of badges and who's got the knack - I'd absolutely stay in. But I can complete both events easily.

I actually prefer Outbreaks to Cats, so given a choice I'd stick with that Outbreaks.

You can buy up to 4 at a time also, the problem those 4 things have to recharge so you only get 4 hours for 40 Darwinium every so often.
