@amber canyon oh, a propos nothing: I can now confirm that each new portion of metabits/knowledge still costs more than the previous one. So, like before, without significant increases in currency production, you metabit/knowledge production will move towards a limes.

What has changed is that when you reboot the RE, your metabits will get stored and not affect production requirement (which once upon a time has been the metablock size).

So, Quark Expansion and its counterpart are a matter of time and strategic reboots.

Each P Power you get gives you the multiplier it says on it, and the next one is double the cost (I think). Look at your stats and see how much your primordial garden is getting you to see if it's worth it.

I'm at the start of P Power VII and am getting 0% of my income from Primordial generators. I need to have and spend about 7e19 metabits before it becomes relevant.

I think it's recommendations are usually ... Non-optimal. I think if you're rebooting a lot it doesn't matter if you follow it's recommendations (because you get A LOT of your income in the first 15 mins or so. If you are playing slow (days between reboots), then it'd be irritating to discover you'd bought the wrong thing.

From what people have been saying, the first 15 mins or so (if you're 'sprinting') get you the majority of your metabits and knowledge.You have to wait a while for the time nodes to become effective.

Just keep an eye on how quickly they're going up. If it's slow, and you feel like upgrading and re-buying the tree, then do it. There's no penalty. Apart from boredom 😬.

Ideas/knowledge are Def slower than entropy/metabits.

Did unlock everything and moved on. The logit is barley explored because I didnt care about main sim. Yeah, I reported exactly that problem in the beta. You can find it in the beta bug reporting forum if you have access there. It seems to be a weird balance thingie. I think that both idea and entropy generation was nerfed. But entropy got a new generator with upgrades that more than compensates for this. The idea tree did not get anything so it now is lacking. I managed to overcome this by brute force: Using the infinity pass we got to (auto)click ideas and shooting stars, throwing money at the problem by buying the darwinium upgrades and the idea accelerator and spending my research chips to boost idea production.

Rates will also improve by just waiting and let the time chambers / time crystals increase their time and boost everything in the process.

Still, the idea behind the nerf I don't really understand. In my opinion they should either have skipped the nerf on the idea rate or have given the idea tree a new generator with the release of Reality Reboot just like they did with the entropy tree.

If you want to earn fast and use Steam/Windows: Use mouse autoclicker and hold your mouse in the green marked area. It will automatically activate all shooting stars and get them via your infinity pass. Just on the edge of mars for ideas. Or just in the empty space for entropy. Don't do this when you have no infinity pass because this will eat cubes otherwise.

Then leave your computer running overnight and you can buy martian city.

I'm glad progression seems to slow down a bunch once you get a ways in, but I wish that rebooting really frequently didn't seem like the best (by a lot) strategy. I wonder if they can re-balance the time capacitors up a bit so that there is more of a choice between idling and rebooting.

1. For the “lungfish” node, they show a picture of Tiktaalik, which was definitely not a lungfish, any more than an elephant or hamster is
2. For the “reptile” node, they say they evolved from archosaurs, which is not true; the archosaur node correctly says dinosaurs (including birds) and crocodilians are archosaurs, so idk why they got it wrong for reptiles
