You should be able to just level up the simulation as far as possible in one go, restart -> upgrade, repeat. 4x boost on and you should be fine. Worked for me very well and im still doing progress on 60.

well if you reset multiple times and target your upgrades you will have more success

im assuming land generates you the most right, so you save up to buy the land upgrade multiplier for 500 Qa if you havent already

The time chambers are really rough, encouraging me to just leave the game open in idle, which wasn't a thing that helped before unless you were actively buying stuff.

Now if I reset the simulation to buy upgrades, progress is gonna slow down significantly since I'll lose a 2000x bonus from the time chambers and lose all my top generators (e.g. martian cities) that I won't be able to buy anymore cause of the price change. So I'm kinda just stuck in limbo, where the most efficient way to play the game is to not do anything

Not counting that Meso prestiges now don't count for squat... people from the beta being level 70+, and here I'll be stuck in the mid-50s for as long as I can imagine unless I just leave it open at home all day, which I do not want to do in the slightest - I like idle games that allow me to play them, not just run them on a device in the corner of the room for weeks like a bitcoin miner.
Maybe there are ways to get quicker progress but I'm not encouraged to try them out since I'll just lose the only advantage I have (high time chamber bonus and lots of top generators)... so I'll just wait until people figure out the meta game for me I guess

I just figured out that the time chambers are actually there to slightly offset the metabits chunks growth. So starting with a big lead in time chamber when converting the save was an unexpected imbalance in that offset that will correct itself.

Right now I'm getting enormous increases when I reboot because I can buy a ton of upgrades (bought ~50). So my current guess is that's the strategy -- reboot when you can get a bunch of upgrades. For example, reboot, run an hour, reboot: Metabit multipler went from 22127x to 28245x. Knowledge 6798x -> 11350x, and simulation speed 38198x->61108x. Generation rates were up by more than that, probably from all the mulipliers from having a lot of generators. Entropy was up over 100x, and Knowledge about 10x.
I wasn't tracking it before, but my previous reboots I felt like I bought even more upgrades than that round.

The update was fine. A ton of nodes in RE were already allocated, and it seemed pretty obvious what ones to get. It was a bit confusing at first, but I got the hang of it quickly. I was annoyed to find that I didn’t/don’t have enough DW.. and needing more is an obvious design decision to make CL more money, not thrilled about that even if I can sympathize.

I'm not sure how much strategy there is in 'what to huy', but to not have that choice (or familiarise myself with the RE layout again) ... Disappointed.

Refund isn't the restart. It just gives you your metabit and knowledge back so you can buy the RE tree you want. Apparently there are different strategies, idk though.

I mean… primary dosen’t progress? That’s kinda the whole point of it is it not? Before this update I hadn’t ascended in over a year and a half because it didn’t get me anything. After the update nothing has changed. By all means I 100%ed primary. It would have been more interesting if they just flat out reset primary.

No this whole screen thing is definitely new. I’m not on the beta. I don’t beta test things anymore. Haven’t for years. What I’m saying is that the lack of progress has been the same way for years. Primary is just dead. No real way to actually progress. Been like that for so long.

I get a 4x bonus bc I have accumulated more than 400 badges in Events. Yeah, they can get tedious but they are worth doing, and there’s nodes in RE that feed into it.
