Nanobots with auto buyer mode can help, but mostly you'll have to do it manually

I wish I’d known that the event even had the feature when I started the event, else I could answer it. I did it once at Challenge Leve 4 and got a reward then, I’m on CL 5 now, there’s no way I’ll be able to complete it before time runs out, to attempt it again. My guess why it does this, is that there is a node in the event that costs Darwinium.. note that the cost for it doubles with each challenge level. So it makes sense why the event also allows you to recoup that cost.

For events in general, if you have a low (or zero) event bonus, and assuming it's an event that isn't new, you probably won't get Top 10. If you have done the event a few times and so you have a badge bonus of at least 100% and you start the event a couple days in and you play fairly regularly, you'll probably get Top 10

(in my experience)

See if rebooting the simulation speeds it up (after you get all the generators again, of course). Other than that, just have the 4x multiplier on at all times and check in once in a while to upgrade the best generators.
I've heard that it can take months even with that though, and no, I didn't get it yet either

Yes, you’ll reveal more generators as you advance through Primary.. indeed, something that’s kinda hidden: some nodes won’t appear unless you have at least 100 of a generator

As far as overall progress in Reality Engine goes, you’ll notice some nodes are multipliers based on Meso, Beyond, and Events.. though you won’t see those reflected until you reboot the sim
