but if you have all the nodes in the reality engine done, then no, there’s no benefit to doing it again.

Sharks are unlocked as the trophy for completing a cycle of the Daily Mutation. A new species of shark unlocks every 14 days that the player logs into the game, with six species in total to collect. Beyond is always slow, so the best way to speed up is by using 4x boost and keeping it activated.
Most impact: Activate 4x boost all the time.
Medium impact: Upgrade card, usually it stops at level 6 or 7, and maybe not getting higher + Reduce the cost of the generator.
Small impact: Buy some trophies in the logits shop, some of them give 2x boost to some generator in the beyond.

So, the accretion disc as depicted is exactly how a black hole does NOT look like but it does hint at the higher temperature around the event horizon.

I play the explores and can't even finish them at all. In the others I'd get to challenge 2 or 3 sometimes. Everything is so immensely slow and I feel like an idiot playing the game. I feel like I'll only get the dopamine if I pay. Sure people will pay but I won't again. I paid 1299 because I used to enjoy the game and I still do, but I won't pay 12.99 a month it's not as entertaining as Netflix or a large pizza... Wtf.

Oh, for sure only pay for the single month, that's all you need, as you yourself found. After that, every few days, knock out an explore (do the 4x ad boost if you want to get it done all in one day) to accumulate the badges (+1% global boost per badge, 3 badges/explore with 1 exception).. and, wait for new content like the rest of us that have reached that point. That's what I suggest (and do).

.. and if you want the goodies from being in Top 25 or Top 10 from explore, and you have maybe at least 100 badges, start the last day bc you tend to get people that aren't keeners, you can usually achieve it.. I always can get Top 10 when I try.

That idk.. your progress will be 4x slower so I guess if you have a ton of badges, it's possible.. like 300+? .. I don't think the ads are really a problem, most of them are short, do like maybe 7 in a row, while you do something else (so, ignore the phone/tablet except to close the ad/select the next one), that takes only a few minutes, and you'll have 12 hours (each ad is worth +4 hours, the x4 boundary is at 16 hours) to do the explore.

As to Darwinium, that's totally unnecessary if you have, say, 100+ badges and start the last day or maybe the evening before.

I have many badges and have no trouble putting up 10,000+ scores on a lot of the events even without using time skips. Now I usually don't because I'm busy and don't have the time or interest to reset multiple times - especially for events I'm not super invested in or bored with. I'll often just collect the three badges to complete the event and not worry about my ranking.

That said, putting up 10K + numbers in the James Webb event is really not hard.

Anyone know if there's any talk on changing the weighting for mesozoic card drops? I have an account I reset every couple months because I like the early-mid game but the mesozoic valley is just brutal. I'm not a fan of card drops in general, but beyond isn't so bad because the drops seem to be weighted so you pick up more for the top generators you've unlocked. Meso is a chore though and I'll usually only to 5-10 levels. I was so glad when I maxed it out on my primary account and didn't ever need to touch it again.

I understand that diff div's will have people who started the event at different times. But using Alex's example - if he started 30 mins ago and has already got to 23rd it's likely he joined pretty quickly after that div opened. And I can't imagine 10+ people have legit made that much progress since the div opened. Just my opinion though.

I got #10 on an event with ~40 something hours remaining once, but when I logged in again, it pushed me back to #20 something and said I needed 500+ science to get back to #10

But then again, I could be wrong or it could just be an updating issue. Not sure.

Hmm. That does feel like it could be explainable with people playing legit. I often do a whole event start to finish in 2-3 hours with 2-3k points.

Doesn't mean there weren't cheaters though. Just isn't as extreme as the recent stuff. Imo, ofc.

Btw, some people specifically don't cash in their science points for milestones as they get them but wait till the end / they're just about to go up a challenge level 🙁. Depending on the event that can be z coupla hundred points right there.

some generators show additional nodes when you have 100 of them.

otherwise, go to reality engine, buy nodes there, then restart.

(and for some reality engine nodes, progress in beyond and meso provide a lot of benefit)

then depending on the nodes you already have, make progress in meso or beyond to increase the benefit in primary, so that you can later buy more nodes. it should be fairly self-evident what makes sense to do.

You might find the one month infinity pass worth doing only once, you can get nearly all the game finished in that, if you play often. But that just lets you skip ads.

You are missing something if you are out of options. But it may be that you just need to buy some nodes in Reality Engine and restart Primary.

ok, that tells me, assuming you have completed Primary. What is REALLY hurting you is your lack of progress in Beyond and Meso and Explore. THAT is why your progress is so slow. You see those nodes in Reality that are 10x for each Beyond/Meso/badge in Explore? That's what you're not taking advantage of.

so yeah, do Explore, Beyond, and Meso. Do them all each day or whatever, when you're waiting on one, you can do the others. Yes, event badges all give a +1% bonus to everything except the event they're from, where they give a lot more.

If you have 100 badges, that means all non-event are 2x as fast as if you had no badges at all.

Ah, the right hand side is the most recent event order. The red lines are where events moved around. Cos there aren't many red lines, the order stays roughly the same and I / you can guess what's coming next (ish).

Well then. So, I started the event ~4h45 before the end. I got to 8th ~40m later. 15-30m after that I dropped to 19th with the person in 10th having 4678 points. For the remainder of the event, the person in 10th had exactly 4678 points - didn't get a single extra point. I slowly climbed to 12th, not quite getting the reward for 2nd badge equivalent in Stage 2.

Weird behaviour for a normal player 🤔.

I think it unlikely that in a div that I could get to 8th in less than an hour, at least two people got 4300+ points within the same 15-30 mins. And then one of them didn't get a single extra point for the remainder of the event.

I imagine:
A) Someone / friends cheating / hacking.
B) The cells placeholder 'bots' (that I think exist) are messed up.
