So players of events are put into divisions (divs). It's the number in the middle just above the green in the screenshots people were just showing.

There are 1000 people in each division, and they fill them up from the start (starting at div 11 I believe). So if you start (very) early you'll be in div 11. If you start late, more like 250-300.

It means you're competing for rank with people who've had the same calendar time to play the event.

There's a special division (666) that people get put in automatically if they trigger the anti-cheat flags the dev have built into the game (messing with your device's time is a good way to trigger these ... Also afaik, hacking the game in certain ways).

(Putting to one side that Android/iOS players have a much easier time than Steam players in Events because Android/iOS can watch ads to get boosts, and Steam players can't which has a MUCH bigger effect).

If you're on Steam, I don't know the best strategy.

I however started this event too early for me ... ||With 135% badge boost I started with 10 hours remaining, logging on often and doing the ad boosts thing, not spending Darwinium and got the 3 badges in less than 6h and have just been keeping myself in the top 10 since.||

Tbf I have that device just on my desk and am able to check it pretty often. But seems like the steam disadvantage is real.

Yeah. Get your Meso maxed (because of the bonus it gives to metabit production). Same with Beyond and Event badges (less so, but still relevant).

If it's taking you that long to get through Meso levels, you prob want to make sure you're buying the most effective thing: often it's best to just buy your most productive generator rather than focus on the target geode goal things.

Collect all the Darwinium you can and the free geodes every 4h (if you have access to them).

Only upgrade your best dinos (top 1-2) and silver/gold traits (or what you need to pick up the goal things). Buying diamond geodes will help (especially at levels 48-50: you get more rewards the closer you are to level 50). Meso gets quicker once you get to the prestiges.

Once you've done all that, it's worth grinding for the neutrino expansion if you want it quickly - the shooting star and nanobot tactics the best imo.

Pairing it with nanobots gives massive entropy
