I think that some of the calculations under the hood aren't doing exactly what they say.

Like ... Time is a bit weird in this game. Speed multipliers for research doesn't seem to work out right (from what I remember when checking).

Largely, it doesn't change how I play, so doesn't bother me. But suspect that over the years the team have lost track of the variables a bit. Presumably something that will be addressed in the big Reality Engine Upgrade.

I know why Parallel Evolution is low (it's useless and always has been), so - even though I could - haven't upgraded to same level as others, so I get fewer cards if it comes up in Geodes. But that's def not the case for Feathers and Cretaceous (e.g. these both affect Giga, Argentino and Mosa). I would upgrade both of those if I had enough trait cards.

• Darwinium is best spent on Diamond Geodes on Extinction 50 of the Mesozoic Valley. If you aren’t close to that rank, it's best used for time fluxes and x4 boost in events, since they can be hard for new players.

Tbh I'd use them to speed Meso up while getting to E50 if it feels slooow. Yes, you do get better return if you use them at 50, but the gold and silver cards can really speed it up.

Or Beyond, cos that's much more fun to play than Meso.

My main advice is to think about what you're doing and buying, and be efficient with it.

And if you're on iOS/android, take max advantage of the benefits from ads if you can put up with them.

Ah, well stick it out when it gets slow for as long as you can then to conserve/maximise Darwinium. And check out the codes in the Semblance channel.

Re events. Starting events early will mean you're more likely to get the 3 badges per event (good), but are likely to face tougher competition and it will take more of your time to place better (bad)

Regardless of where you place though, if you get to the end of the event's stage 1, you'll get 50 logits, and the badges will make it easier for you the next time the event comes round, and speed up your main sims. And keep you entertained while grinding Meso 😄

Little and often is the way to go in events. The more often you can check in and do upgrades/buys the faster you'll progress. Exponentials, y'know. That's after the first 15-30mins of your playing in the event, recommend actively playing that cos the things are so cheap / close together. Also, take the time to enjoy them, there's interesting stuff in them (and be careful with the Extinction one!)

It's only 20% for meso and beyond iirc so what @regal skiff said is wrong, it is still better to stay online since if you double your offline earnings, it's only 66% in primary and 40% in meso and beyond of your normal earnings @whole basalt

But, it is actually a good idea to be offline in events, since they give 100%

So you can double it and get 200% of what you'd get by simply idling in an event

(Not sure how it looks like when you're actively clicking, and a bit hard to check)
