I get top ten in most events I enter. I start about 8-18 hours before they finish and play attentively (logging on often, getting ad boost, buying stuff) until I'm comfortably in the top 10 zone, or it ends.

I rarely (never?) have got stage 3. I'm usually in div 290-320.
