By reading here, most people start event after a day or so, i did this, end up around division 230-240ish
The last event i went to challange level 3, and it seems the same with this tea event.

Yes that's somewhat normal. But I normally start later (anywhere from 4 to 12 hours) and can get top 10 by challenge level 2.
