Okay I'm playing cell to Singularity I am at Mesozoic Valley rank 22 and I only have 1 rank left to unlock birds. I need more Logits to buy trophy upgrades. Also, some artifacts on the logit store needs Darwinium and I'm always using them for time flux on Mesozoic Valley to earn more fossils. I'm at beyond episode 7 and I need to unlock Uranus but there are no nanobots/ timefluxes to earn stardust. You need badges to speed up primary simulation, Mesozoic Valley, and beyond. I need to hack to finish the game. I'm also using Darwinium to trigger quantum charges, to speed up, to charge nanobots, and more.

I really wish they had consulted with a professional mathematician on this exploration. I’m halfway through and already there are several massive oversimplifications if not outright errors.

The descriptions of multiplication and exponentiation use the simplistic processes of repeated addition and multiplication that we are taught when first learning these concepts but to suggest that’s all those operations are is not math. At a minimum it is necessary to mention that those simplifications apply only in the context of the natural numbers (whole numbers)

Even worse is the “proof” that 0.9999… = 1 which makes massive assumptions that an infinite repeating decimal can be manipulated via multiplication and subtraction the way it is in the proof. Those are actually deep concepts that require justification. The argument lacks necessary rigor and is not a valid proof. Instead it just perpetuates bad math.

Hey Roland and @umbral fulcrum . Thank you for the feedback! This is a great perspective to hear, because we always want to be as accurate as possible. We actually did consult with multiple mathematicians, one of which worked directly on the event. We wanted to cover essentially the entirety of what math has to offer in a short event, with a very limited space to explain each topic, so unfortunately simplification is inevitable. It's never meant to replace actual math class, but more to inspire an interest in the topic and also learn a thing or two along the way.

That being said, we never want a direct error to be in the game. Buddy, I think you're taking this a bit too seriously. It's supposed to be educational, yes. But not too educational. As in, if you keep going into specifics, you'll eventually bore the players to death. Plus, it would take too long. Plus plus, it still needs to be entertaining and engaging, on top of being informative. Striking a balance between all three is not easy-as someone who has made many Powerpoint presentations, I should know.
You can't get everything right, and you can't cover everything, especially when you only have 3.5 days to do it all. Even in the more complex subjects, you must remain an air of simplicity, and keep in mind the simple things-where it begins. The number 1, and tallying-the event begins with those simple things. The more complex stuff starts later.

I think it's more of an exploration of concepts, rather than applying it in unlockable equations. Again, it would take too long.

And I think that a lot of this complaining from people comes from a lack of something. Empathy, or the ability to feel what others are feeling. When we are professionals or very good at something, it comes naturally to us. But then we forget that not everyone is so good at it, and when we expect them to claim the same as us, and then they don't, we get mad.
Yes, the event didn't cover half of mathematics.
Yes, x is a bit of a simple thing.
But I think that they're good enough, at both face value and educational value. Like it or not, professional or not, the simple things are here to stay. We all rely on the simple things at some point or another, and then we forget that we did that. Forgetting that not everybody is as knowledgable as us. And we look down on those who are just starting out, or have more appreciation for those simple things.
