For those having trouble on the dodos, I restarted the primary, took it to stone age to unlock that garden, and easily found the 2 dodos that had been completely obscured by buildings, haha.

It helps to get the rare/epic traits unlocked and levelled. Also, any star/planet below the top 3 don't contribute much to your stardust, so concentrate on those.
Also, ranking those top ones up gives a major boost

squid, capybara and volcano are the best to start with. usually takes the capybara increase to afford the squid nodes. Other than that, you can check your reality engine. click on restart simulation and see how much that would speed you up.
If it's significant, then go for it.

If it helps, try taking the game out of fullscreen mode so you can open and close the window. Then you can do other stuff without leaving the game and thus lowering earnings.
I actually had this dream last night where there was one of those "garden" things of the deep sea (yunno like with the cats, the fungi, etc), and if you took the camera out of bounds, there were loads of models and even entire small cities or something. And the whole "deep water" bit was inside this small-ass pool.

Just a small boost (10%)
There's no shortcuts with your first prestige, but each prestige after is easier because:
Each prestige grants + 50% production speed
You keep all your gold and silver card upgrades. If you max out all your missions between extinction to get more geodes, and you will get loads more cards
Wait to open any if the more I x inside geodes the closer you are to level 50. You get more mutagen the higher level you are
Try to save mutagen for the latter game. I never level up cards once they hit 8000 cost as when I try to get all achievements it's very expensive to get the 200 gigantasuarus and so I upgraded to level 15 cards which cost me over 3million in total. I got all that mutag n f om saving across the 10 prestiges
