Badges from an exploration say they increase its own simulation speed by 5/10/15%. Where does this effect come in?
I have all 3 in the current one, but my CpS value is unchanged - it matches my spreadsheet, which doesn't include badge effects.
It doesn't seem to apply as a "silent" multi either - I did a timed test (no clicks, no goldies, no bots) and got exactly as much as my displayed CpS would give me.

Not the next event. The bonus from any badge only applies to the event to which the badge belongs. But yes, a newly earned badge applies when the same event returns.

It's so that the prize distribution is somewhat fair. A player who starts early and plays all 4-5 days of an event can go further and earn more points than a player who started with only 36 hours remaining.

Also so that the effort to reward ratio makes sense - if everyone (maybe about 400,000 players) were on one leaderboard, balancing the rewards tiers would be a massive headache. Either more than half the players are going to get nearly worthless prizes, or everyone's gonna have massively inflated rewards

Then no one's gonna play the next events, and no game dev wants people to stop playing their game

The wisdom that's been passed around to me here is to unlock the capybara and giant squid (with logits) to boost your entropy production (and thus metabits)

hello, I recently switched to playing this game on bluestacks so I could play on pc but still get ad rewards, but it seems to crash relatively frequently in the Beyond, and I have unusually long load times whenever switching to the Beyond. It was fine on my actual iphone when I played on mobile, does anyone happen to know if there's some bluestacks setting I should tweak to prevent crashes? These issues happen on both low power and quality settings in the app

ok I did some more testing and learned that the reason that loading into the Beyond stalls is because it puts an insane load on the CPU for some reason, it was taking like 20-25% of my CPU usage while in bluestacks and I'm suspecting the issue might be tied to the app trying to use more CPU than I have allocated to bluestacks (max option for CPU in the bluestacks settings is 4 cores, I have 6). I redownloaded the steam version to test and going to the Beyond shot my CPU up to 60% while it was loading. Unsure if that's related to the ad crashes but honestly I'm guessing those are an issue with shitty ads causing the crash and it just happens in the Beyond more often because the game is exerting a heavier base load on the system. I'm unsure why my old ass iphone could handle the CPU load better than my much more powerful PC, gonna sync my save back to my iphone to see if it's experiencing the same issue and I just didn't notice because the screen was smaller or something

the main thing is it shot the app to 20-25% CPU usage in bluestacks and 60% on the steam version, when my pc is relatively powerful. The pc is a few years old sure but not to a point where it should take that much CPU usage to load an area in a game, and other games with similar graphics don't take similar CPU usage

I'm not even sure if the CPU usage spiking on the load and being at a higher baseline once the Beyond is loaded is one of the core causes of the crashes I'm seeing tbh but the CPU usage alone is enough to be an issue even if the crashes are unrelated

a cursory search shows the game having an abnormal CPU load since at least 2020, and the only advice was to switch the game to performance mode, which didn't seem to have a noticable effect on how much CPU was used

well to be more specific, it helps the game's CPU load be lower after the load, but the load still spikes it up

Sharks should be obvious, really. You get them as daily rewards, every 14 days or so. Gotta catch 'em all.

What next step? Do you really expect fast action from an idle game? Work towards the squid trophy, maybe get capybara before that.

I have around 3.85 E16 metabits, earning a whooping 2.4 E9. 500 felines, 800 capys, 900 jellyfish and basically everything maxed out except for a few badges. And still a waiting time of months before I can buy the final reality upgrade

Try to buy from the menu, not directly in the tree. Especially buing idea upgrades is easier that ways. Also, max out nanobots and use them in auto-buy mode

Basically, you want to get apes asap, then humans, while starting the ideas nodes.
