I don't personally know what the process for that reclamation would be in this instance; different games handle it differently, from an in-game function to requiring intervention from the developers. In any case, it's good to have it on hand.

On a completely unrelated note

I think an eventual followup to Outbreaks could be cool. Maybe cover more exotic/neglected diseases like prion diseases and schistosomiasis

I am at place.. 6 now? And to get to third i need about 231 more science bottles- but ehhh, yeah i can only buy like 1 extra generator per hour, i’m so far beyond making anything enough to advance.

Is it just a case of needing more badges in general to have more 1% boosts onto the base?

Its not "cheating". Game has beta versions which you can access by a formulary. In android and Steam It works prorperly. In Apple you access It by a program called testflight, legal. The problem is there you can buy things at the store but they dont chsrge money to you, so Apple users play the beta versión, buy infinite darwiniums for free snd return to the normal versión while mantsining the darwinium

We've tested for that scenario and it doesn't actually end up exploiting the currency

quickest dwarf is 12 hrs, so 6 missions in same time. 10% chance of fragment -> 90% no stars
1 - 0.9^6 = 0.468
46.8% chance of having at least 1 star after 6 dwarf missions
or for the same amount of time, dwarfs only earn you 0.468 star on average vs the guaranteed 1 star

So I redid the math: For fully-loaded research missions the dwarf stars are indeed better than the constellation fragment. First calculation is without Auriga (6 hour red dwarfs), second is with.
Considering these are the results after 72 hours and at late-game (E22-E24), the benefits feel marginal. Add that one of the mission slots might be taken up by a price discount mission, and so the returns get lower.

Personally, I don't think it's something to fuss over. If you play very actively, your progression naturally outpaces your fragment acquisition and boosts from constellations would barely be felt. On the other hand, if you play idle, chances are you don't care about going as fast as possible, and you're not going to be checking-in to the game frequently enough to benefit.

Also, I have no idea what the payout matrix is for the constellation mission, so the expected value there is at least 1. Though that is somewhat balanced by dwarf stars giving more than 1 fragment on very rare occasion.

The outbreak event felt tedious and was not much fun. Maybe it's just a feeling, but somehow I found there was too much stuff to buy on every level. I like it even less than tea.

The leaderboard doesn't help, either. The actual leaderboard isn't even visible, so it's unclear how many real players are in a division and how many points they have. The rewards are not worth continuing a finished event. I don't need 3 of (potentially) 5 at all anymore, dark matter won't be a problem for a long time and if I ever run out of logits, it will be because of pricing becoming insane.

Question: how does one grind metabits? I've been sitting at in the E7/s generation range for a while, and restarting the primary simulation hasn't done anything to help it. Just been concentrating on Mesozoic Valley, Beyond, and Explore...

I suggest going with Extinction artifact, capybara and giant squid (in that order), they're the best logit prizes
