Since they don't all start at the same time of the week (like, say, Thursday), sometimes by the time I realize a new event is running (or re-running), it's already halfway to the deadline. And some events (*ahem* Philosophy) hardly give enough time as it is.

my experience with this game is funny, first downloaded it in 2019 or so and actively played until sometime 2021 and lost motivation to do much with CtS

picked it back up ~2 or so months back and it's still fun

if i were to guess, extinction geodes probably have a 5-10% for rare & 2-4% for epic

however i also wouldn't be surprised if they were hard-coded and not random
