You have ro switch into the space garden and switch between those two sections at the bottom of the screen. You can spam click your way to singularity way faster like that

By artifact I assume you mean things that cannot be obtained by normal play and metabit unlocks, we usually just call them logit unlocks. For these, you have to play the events to obtain logits and buy them using the logit console which is unlocked when you first get any logit. Each event yields 50 logit and can be increased to up to 75 if you are lucky and get first place in an event
