yeah my spreadsheet has a lot to crunch. There's one upgrade (utilitarianism) which is ridiculously efficient, but also very very expensive
so a lot of my sheet's other functions for side-path optimizing are getting a workout
It first flagged utilitarianism as 'most efficient purchase' way back when it still cost something like nine hours to purchase.
my sheet's been 'skirting around' that one for about an hour now, and it's time-cost has dropped to 41 minutes. still skirting.
I suspect I won't be avoiding that purchase much longer. it's time-cost is now down to 15 11 minutes 🙂

at the moment, green is preferred but yellow will vastly shorten its time to buy, and orange is skipped over, while efficient, more expensive, so red is used to shorten time-to-buy for yellow
all this so I don't spend 22hours trying to buy intuitive ethics too early

If you reached singularity and reset the main simulation- that's intentional. Just play it again and once you get to singularity again (I think, not sure), metabits should come in.
If your entire game progress was lost, try a reset save or contact support.

@solid mirage if you click the central button at the top you can view your reality engine without killing the sim, and you'll see a boat load of upgrades to buy that will speed up the sim a lot
although you are also in an interesting position where there's a lot of metabits to be gained by completing the ideas tree.
I'd say, restart and buy as many of the speed upgrades as you can, then go finish the ideas tree.

might not be an unknown bug. If you have the upgrades so that beyond ranks get you a 1+1x multiplier (instead of the usual 1+.01x) and you're on the reality engine screen it might make sense

The trinary Alpha Centaury system is only visible when you zoom in to the point that TNOs become visible. I have no way of verifying, but I think that it is too close to the sun.
I believe the additional Alpha Centaury might be the correct distance and has possibly been added with the start of phase 2.

Oh, another observation on the star "map": if a star is selected, you get an value for "distance to the sun" which is actually your distance to the current target. Not important on solar system level, but confusing on the larger scale.
