#Crafter tries to make unnecessary dust

I'm in the process of upgrading my producers to t5 and noticed that the crafter tries to make dust, even though I have enough for the recipe.
Preferred recipe for dust is set to ores into grinder. (to avoid the crafter messing with my dust-manager ai)
Preferred recipe for ingots is set to dust into oven.

yea having the same issue

It also doesn't just try to make t9 dust, but for all tiers. Just didn't want to make 9 more screenshots.

also crafting lumps is bonkers if you have other crafts on same tier

No it doesn't. I have enough dust in my inventory to make 10x the items.

it thinks it needs the dust, the recipes it gives shows how much it needs

#

though, i am looking at it and you do seem to have enough dust

#

what are the recipes you are using to make things?

same bug here, got over 1B t1 dust, only needs a few thousand, but still thinks it needs to craft more. it doesn't craft more because of it only grabbing dust from ores, but can confirm this bug

#

interestingly enough, it seems to only be affecting my T1 dust, everything else is fine with it

#

ah wait, nvm, there it goes

#

found the possible reason, they changed the checkbox from "ignore items in inventory" to "use items from inventory"

I love when you give it a way to make more dust, then doesn't make it because you have enough, then it fills your queue with 20 stacks of 413 T9 dust just to never craft it.

ya I agree I think a simple fix for that would be, 1 prioritize ore lumps over ingots, and 2 make the crafter make equivalent ore lumps per ingot in a recipe so that instead of consuming the dust and lowering the stockpile it always maintains the stockpile at what it was before the recipe was selected. (I am not a programmer so caution this may not be a "simple fix") I believe this could work because if one dust is consumed for every ore lump you would have one dust and one ingot instead of no dust and two ingots. if you have both what you need for the lumps and ingots it can still make the lumps so I make excess of whatever tier ore dust I need then top up before a recipe I would run out of dust for. I am using spaces because enter is send on discord.
