For some reason the damage numbers kept ticking and following the players hit by the fire after the effect ended. The damage numbers allowed them to be tracked through walls and did not stop ticking until they died. The players affected said the "on fire" hud effect kept showing on their screens.

🔥🔥🔥 Here is a clip of what happened: https://clips.twitch.tv/MoistPreciousCardMau5-C_nNA6cFg3U_X67d

I was teaching my friends how to play in private 2v2 matches on Japan server. One set of friends was playing from Taiwan and the other set was playing from Japan. This happened atleast twice randomly, but we could not recreate it yet.

Hi hi again this is a known bug this happens when the game gets confused on whether or not your still in the fire or not and the game gets confused when you move vertically over the fire the game still thinks your opponent is still in the "damage" zone but moved out of it in a certain direction or way the fire tick damage still registers but you will take zero damage

There is also another possibility that your opponent was stacked with too much fire. There is a ui bug where if to much of something happens they game freaks out and shows the 0 damage counter

For and example of the too much fire section

If I place 5 Dr. Moles down next to each other you'll get that amount of healing once I leave the range of it a zero damage counter is shown because of the stacked dr. moles

It does cause the game still sees it as your still in fire cause museums or any map the has a ceiling fire can still clip through and damage you

But I'm leaning more towards there was "too much fire"

#

Cause I've managed to get zero damage by doing to much of one thing

#

It weird but we're still trying to find a way to break it more to understand it more since giving the game too much of something freaks the game out

I think in this case there was only one moly

ye but the flames stack on each other but since there is a max flame damage limit and since each flame counts as a "entity" it can produce damage but it's a very weird niche bug that it's hard to easily reproduce as you said but the best possibility is that there was too much flame on there characters cause it the karrotov might of hit the wall and the flame entities might of stacked on top of each other when that happened
