As I told you in #❓faq-and-ask-us-anything . The OST wasn't available at launch. It has been available a little bit later. You can get the OST by only paying for that content in the bundle.

I see the big pic now. Add all DLC to Cart does not include the OST, the BUNDLE does. I recommend getting the bundle. And to get the OST you only need to pay what is remaining of the bundle

Well, technicaly, you got most of the stuff of the bundle in an alternate way (2 of 3). You only need to buy what's left in the Bundle. And no, you didn't lose money.

If you’re referring to “To get the OST you have to buy the deluxe edition” it’s because you can only get the OST by buying the bundle, which also contains the deluxe edition

The "Deluxe edition content" of Friends vs Friends on the steam page says that it includes

Access to the first two Premium Expansions of the year is available.
Subscribers will receive various perks and bonuses.
Upcoming paid content will enhance the user's hub.
Weapons can be decorated with exclusive items.
Skins for new characters will be provided.
Themed minigames and narratives will be included.
Card back variants will be available for customization.

There's no mention of the soundtrack in the Deluxe content since it's not available on release of the game and it was release on a later date instead, like what Sic said.

There's probably some agreements and adjustments behind the scenes first before they release the soundtrack as a separate thing from the "Deluxe Edition Content"

Also, Brainwash Gang is a team of indie video game developers, they're not a Triple A Company like EA. Don't compare EA to Indie developers please. Plus the soundtrack is just 3 dollars.

And with that, Mods, please correct me if i'm wrong if i said some mistakes

1-So Sic lied.
2-Deluxe edition including the OST is standard practice but I am willing and will admit fault to that.
3-The reason I compared EA to Brainwash Gang because in friend town there is a chalk drawing saying "F*UCK P2W" and in the minds of everybody that is always a response to EA so Brainwash invited that comprising.

It's a confusion over the naming scheme. The Deluxe Edition Bundle has both the Deluxe Edition Content AND the OST. The Deluxe Edition content alone does not include the OST. I'll agree that it's a confusing naming system, but neither the devs nor Sic are native english speakers. And on top of that, we're just community mods for the Discord, we're not part of the team, we're not paid, and we often only know as much as you guys do about the game and the decisions that are made around it.

Most of the confusion comes from the OST not being part of the Bundle initially on the game's release, but being added to it later

It was a miscommunication at worst, no one has intentionally lied to you

Buyers of the Deluxe Edition Bundle get the OST. The OST was not available at launch, so all you could get was the Deluxe Edition Content. The OST was later added to the Bundle. Due to how Steam bundles work, you receive the same discount for it based on the content you already own. People who buy the bundle now pay the same price, overall, as people who already owned the content and buy it for the OST now. No one is paying more or less for the OST, the bundle is the same price for everyone, no matter how much of it you own.
