#Turn beartrap and landmine into trap cards

What I mean by this is making it so they’re hidden as any other trap card when used (though the object would still be visible).

I’ve never trapped anyone in a bear trap or had them go over a landmine, and never been trapped or exploded outside of a landmine being thrown mid-combat, and I think not immediately knowing would help.

no idea why these aren't trap cards i agree

I mean, they are LITTERAL TRAPS, it just makes sense for them to not be shown as a played card, because knowing a landmine or a bear trap is somewhere, completely ruins the point of a trap

that might be too op

#

id like to know when my enemy put a trap or mine

#

everybody would use this

i dont think so. i feel like there are too few trap cards so if you play against someone alot they can start easily predicting what trap your using.

not fun to have 4 hidden cards played

#

also you will able to pretend to place a trap or mine and that will mega throw people off

besides, it makes seeing the "trap card" placeholder more than a: "oh he is using ninja log, counter card, etc"

to be fair i don't pay enough attention to the cards played anyways unless something seems off

true, we're playing an FPS, gunplay will out-play cards... well, for the most part (heartless being an outlier here)

And even without that knowledge you’d still have to step on those small spots

I like the psychological effect those cards have. You see the card is being used BUT WHERE?
Making mine and bear, trap cards would take away some skill from the cards. You can just plop them to obvious spots.
In my experience, it's pretty easy to forget about the traps during intense firefights. You can manipulate your opponent into stepping into them, even if they are revealed in the HUD.
Overall, these are good and satisfying cards, I don't think that they need to be changed.

Exactly

I think this would be a good change just to hide the fact the cards are being used. Because when someone landmines, it's easy to know and just like.. avoid walking around that corner because you know it has to be there.

#

It'd also be a nice general buff to trap cards, the lack of trap cards kinda makes it easyish to tell which one they used.

And if you put them on "obvious spots" then people will just have to keep an eye out at those spots, which is still something that happens now, even more so since you know it's a mine or beartrap
