#Duck Anderson and Donnie B. have very similar character abilities.

What if Duck Anderson's Green Herb cards healed for less but you got to keep unused Green Herbs between rounds? Compared to Donnie B. you get less extra health per round but you could stockpile multiple Green Herbs for a ton of healing in a single round.

Another way to make Duck Anderson more distinct could be by making Green Herb heal for more health but you heal slowly overtime. That would give Duck Anderson the edge in prolonged long range fights but weak to close range burst DPS.

I think making it heal a bit more, but over time would be really good

#

Or make it heal more but apply a temporary debuff, like worse accuracy or damage or movespeed, just for a few seconds

#

Both would make duck's health advantage the best when he can avoid combat

Yeah this seems like a good idea, rn he feels like a worse donnie because everyone is running barbed cards/invis hand/etc and its so much headache compared to donnie who avoids all the card management issues

I saw someone suggesting that he throws a healing cloud similar to the smoke grenade. Sorta like a small hotbox zone.

#

Could be used for durability, pushing, retreating or just as a smokescreen when needed.

tempory damage res could be good

like 33% damages res around the same as rubber bullet

for like 8s

about the same as level 3 rubber bullets

If Duck's Green Herb was a slow 35 health regen, it'd make him a lot more viable. Just like Eleetpancake says, making him weaker to burst DPS but sustainable in a drawn out fight would be better to differentiate him to Donnie. Rather than remain the straight downgrade that he currently is.
Barbs is common and we don't have cards that interact with your own hand as of now, maybe in the future it'll change, for example, that bomb card that throws a bomb when you use cards.

I'd generally argue duck's card is an upgrade over donnie. It really only negatively interacts with barbed cards, and I guess invisible cards. It interacts positively with counter card imo, as you didn't lose a "real card". Overall duck has more effective health than donnie in most situations.

It's still not great design, and I'd rather duck had a slow regen or some other effect that made it less immediately comparable to donnie.

imagine someone being faster then you and just running away from you and getting all their health back

So that it's distinct from a character with just more hp? A slow regen means that over the short term duck would have less health than donnie, but if duck can stay away, they have more health? Why is that so ridiculous in this card game fps?

#

If someone combos it with a speed effect and outruns the person shooting them, good

#

They did part of what the game's thesis statement is, combining cards to great effect

#

and making decks for characters that bring out the best in their innate ability

Also, I meant the herb card should give a regen effect for a duration, not that duck gets permanent regen
