I'm also against anything other than maybe quick chat, something to tell my partner what card I have, a couple basic pings, and maybe some flavor quick chats, but I've already seen people act toxic enough that I don't want to -hear- them be toxic.

This game has such a friendly and casual vibe, and I want it to stay that way. Just a friendly game where we're having fun.

Voice/Text should only be added if it stays off as default, with a warning like "People from the internet can talk to you!" if you try to turn it on. We all know that there are some bad, very loud, apples out there. And competitive games can bring out the worst from the worst types of people.

I'm for Callouts, but make sure your teammate can't spam "Nice shot!" 10 times per second when you missed a shot that lost you the round/game.

Would also love more simple emotes, like the wave you can do in the lobby area, but also be able to do them in matches.

i could see LOL style emotes being added, where it shows a little image of different characters emoting in the top left of the screen

I mean, it is preferable that there is no chat at all that having to mute everytime

So I do think Callouts and emotes are the best thing you can do but VC and TC are not good for the health of the game

If its a one time toggle in settings, sure, but if I gotta manually do it for each new player and new match, then its a nope from me

I agree for the quick messages conveying simple things, but adding text or voice is just asking for toxicity. Even quick messages can be used for toxicity if can be taken sarcastically: just look at Rocket League's "what a save!"
If you want voice, play with friends and use discord.

I don't like the trend of outright muting everyone because the you have to get rid of the toxic elements, also by not having any form of communication, you don't know what or how they're even doing (also it's a small scale)

there's a point where "safety" feels more authortarian then it should be but that's another topic for another day
