Fix matchmaking

I don't understand why I go against really high players when im lower in rank. It doesn't make sense and it has happened about 6 times in a row and its annoying.

Issues I'm having atm is I'm mid UK, the servers are min 30 ping for me, if i try and do any stick lifting or clever passes/shots. The ping is too high to do this, I'm sat in gold 2 from plat 3 and cannot level up, I back out of imbalanced games and laggy servers and just been hit with a 15 minute temp ban, this game is going downhill again

this issue just cant be fixed, their isnt enough players for matchmaking to be balanced

if you wanna stop going against people way better than you, you gotta get better which generally means losing to good players a lot but also learning how to play at a higher level from them

I started playing on west when it was very dead and learned by watching those better than me and I worked on the mechanics in practice

I only have 2500 matches played but 1.2k hours so a lot of the skill comes from stuff you can do in practice

then tell me why my game lags like crazy on high end hardware, I have all wired peripherals, a 4080, i9, wired ethernet connection and still I can't get a smooth gameplay for shit

You use any wireless devices? Mouse keyboard/controller. Input delay can get high on those

All wired (hate wireless tech 🤢 ), and ethernet too, I have confirmed its bufferbloat that is the cause for my horrendous net performance, I have a router currently graded C on bufferbloat, so gonna go and buy a new one which is better

Y’all do need to do something about the atrocious matchmaking. Will have a steady pace in win/loss and then go on an absolute tank streak because of the matchmaking system. My games below 500 as well as my goal differential doubled in one day when I’ve been grinding my main account for 4 months at this point. Would be nice to not have my stats inflated like a damn inner tube but you guys obviously don’t seem to get that. Shame on you guys.

at some point all top players were new as well

you have to lose a lot to get better

theres also just not that many people who really stick around so theres a huge skill gap

so top players are often substantially better than the next best after them
