#Shot counts are too low

To me it always seemed getting a save automatically gave the other team a shot but I might be wrong.
Not going against your suggestion in any way (just to make it clear bc sometimes things can be read that way) though
so the issue could be with blocks, the most recent spl pug match is a good example
shot counts like either it is goal or save, do I understand it correctly
and blocks had nothing to do I think
well I don't know how should it be counted
that makes sense, a shot is not a 'shot on goal' if it's blocked. I guess my suggestion should be to add some sort of stat that counts the offensive attempt
Maybe something like
Shots (on goal)
3 (1)
could work? I've seen something similar in a soccer game, if I recall correctly (I edited it a couple times because formatting got me good)
I think the reason for that distinction not being there is that in hockey there isn’t a differentiation because its only counted a shot if it was (vaguely) going towards the net
nah, ive scored goals with 0 shots in leaderboard
i think shots are just the puck going at a considerable speed towards the goal
its weird because even when it is an own goal i thought there is shot
its hard to automaticly distinguish if its shot or not
I think It's still possible to miss a shot though, like if one were to hit the goal on the net's outer side, for instance. I'd say that's close enough to be a shot, without being on the goal ('s valid portion for scoring)
sorry for pinging you, I forgot to disable it
it would be hard to track missed shots aside from those which hit the glass behind the goal line, but if a block is recorded it'd be easy to count that as a shot attempt
