Because in games like cs:go you cant buy them from the shop you have to buy them with real money and thats why its so good, and in games like valorant you can buy them from the shop which is why they dont have a market to buy them off other poeple.
@spark wagon yes actually you CAN buy stuff in the shop in csgo which is where I was getting the idea from. I understand that slapshot using its own currency (pux
) to buy items but that shouldn't matter much.
Lets say i buy the Santa outfit and after a few weeks i dont want it anymore; having a market would be a great way to sell it off to buy other items. Or better yet, if the Santa outfit was only available during the holiday season and discontinued later on it would allow people to sell those rare items for more than what they paid which benefits the original buyer and the devs because they make a cut of every transaction from their games market purchases.
Where is the shop in csgo then
And also they dont make things just for a holiday season
This is the csgo in game shop, you can buy directly from here and the items are marketable and tradable
im aware that they dont but im saying they COULD do that if they wanted to, its a suggestion after all
hm
but it only works because the people that made cs:go
made steam so they get a cut of everything
I dont understand why that's relevant? the game Rust also has an in game shop where items are marketable and tradable. Those devs didn't make steam but they're utilizing the steam market...
The steam market would make the shop basically useless, since you could get the items for cheaper on the steam market. Because you could obtain them in game for free they would all be worth pennys on the market, would basically ruin the game’s economy, erv would stop making money as instead of buying pux you could spend 5$ on the market and get every item in the game
