i think they're just assuming based on the info we have from the site, "Mini Fan Sign Op - Join a pre-concert fansign with ARTMS, vinyl included." which seems like a reasonable assumption that they'll sign it for you at a table or something

This benefit is an add-on experience and does not include admission to the concert or any VIP benefits on its own. You must first purchase the VIP Package for the same city in order to access the LP Fansign benefit.
Purchases made without a valid VIP Package will be automatically cancelled without notice.
Each fan is allowed a maximum of 2 fansign entries. Orders exceeding the limit will be partially or fully cancelled.
Fansigns take place in person at the venue prior to the concert and allow you one (1) Club Icarus LP plus entry to the Fansign zone.
More details and specific instructions will be sent via email one week prior to your event.GUIDELINES
No physical contact is allowed.
Fans must sit across from the artists at the designated area.
Only item allowed for fansign is the provided LP.
No screen recording or filming is permitted.

when you check in for VIP, they do ask if you want your name signed to it. You are welcome to say no and it wont be awkward at all. You could probably ask if you could change the name, though they may say no.

Most if not all artists don't like screen recording because they're consenting to photos, not being filmed.
Additionally, since they don't know they're being filmed, it can cause a whole lot more issues if something awkward happens.
I'd be on the safe side and disable live photos as well.

in Boston it was like 3 or 4 hours before the concert time. That seemed like the standard at other stops as well from what I heard. But I have zero experience with shows in Europe!

ahh -- they let us leave and come back, after the early merch access and after the fansign. but i heard a few venues made people stay inside between the fansign and the show (which sounds annoying to have to lug the LP around all night).

They will be checking, so I would caution you not to do it.
Every K-pop artist I've worked with has expressed that they aren't comfortable with screen recording. it's the same with ARTMS as well.
