Given that IG has been bad when it comes to selling or trading, maybe we can improve ours to make it better compared to IG?
I know that this server is not specifically made for this purpose but maybe some people who knows discord features well enough can suggest ideas and make the channel more cleaner or even structured to make it more visible for those who want to sell or even looking to buy loona related merch!

So here is what I saw from other servers: they made their buy-trade channel like a discussion post. so rather than having it like a chat channel (like what we have), people can post their sales like a discussion and maybe we can set up fixed tags? that way whoever is posting it, is responsible in putting the appropriate tags. That way if you are searching for a Kim Lip pc you can filter for post’s that has a kimlip tag (or artms tag) and filter it to those. Or even if you looking for an artms go then you can simply filter it by a GO tag and an Artms tag and that will filter artms go’s

not sure how effective this is but if we have guidelines and format maybe something like this can help. The server I saw this in was not as big as ours so not sure if this would be a good idea for a big server like ours but thoughts?

Agreed. Last I checked theres limits for how many tags can be available in a forum channel and how many can be put on a post so it might require some creativity. But regardless it would improve the searchability a lot

Not sure if a bot can do this but maybe have it to were if a post is a month old we can just delete it that way it “clean” and remain “recent”

forums are automatically filtered after a certain amount of time and get dropped into the "older posts" section

we could encourage people to delete posts if/when they find their trade though

True! Doubt people will do it tbh. If i get permission to delete them i can do it myself (the old ones)
Any clue how many fixed tags we can make? Schmali said theres a limit for it

idk how many tags would actually be needed but i dont think the limit would be an issue

if we do a trading category, then we can do channels like
sell
trade
go

and maybe objects but i dont personally know how much theyre traded here so we can see

and then tags could be Loosemble, artms, ot12, sub unit, maybe eras? something like that ?

-loona Tickets (since people sell concert tickets as well)

If we actually create separates channels for sell, trade and go then you wont need the first three tags.. but not sure which one path would be better/cleaner

I mean if we can have a tag for each member then that would probably help.. but i dont think its necessary. I think the main group can be enough

I mean usually if you need the pc you look for it 😂😂 but then when its hard to find one they make this kind of post so rather for them looking.. people can look for them 😂

Yeah! Liked the tags we have here in the suggestions and you can easily filter them by tag. So hoping by this actually helps when it comes to searching

Maybe a good template would also help? If your down i can dm you the server that is doing this and you can see how it is? Since they dont have a template it kinda looks messy so wondering if a template would make it cleaner

I thought of suggesting the use of the girls names, eras, and groups (subunits and the new groups) and the OP's agendas as a tag would be good but accounting all of this, it would be quite messy to implement

i.e heejin to olivia hye , vivid era to howl era, loona 1/3 to lossemble, and the agenda tags like buying, selling, iso

using these 4 categories to implement in the tags would count as like 50+ tags, users unfamiliar with this forum format would be reluctant to use it

this idea would work if there was a feature of like sub tags or something of that nature

Yep we've been messing around with a couple of ideas, we probably won't do every single LOONA era but doing it by solo/subunit/OT12/Loossemble/ARTMS/Chuu/Yves might work better

chuu and yves would probably just end up falling under the solo tag as we're kind of limited on tags and if we were gunna future proof it we'd have to be kind of basic in grouping them together

Yeah like schmali said, gotta get creative for it. We might not be able to create very specific tags.. but tags in general can help for search/filter. But yeahs 20 tags max when they checked yesterday. This discussion forums has 7 tags and you can choose multiple tags to filter it which kinda cool for selling. Its the same as using a #

i personally think those tags a but "too much" when it comes to adding tags. GO (group order) could be a good one maybe to have when new stuff comes out and people want to specifically look for people doing GO's

So tags are handy when it comes to for example: "I wanna look for EU posts" and u try to seach europe i think it wouln't pop up then and only searches on titles
