The resources available are just through the roof atm

They can't cater to entry level and elite level at the same time and don't want to exclude either

I don't get the complaints about the boss being unable to just stand there during the DPS part because that's like every raid I've seen

The problem for me with RoN is the mechanics are too easy

That's also a factor many don't take in action, most time is spend finding the mechanic and getting used to doing it

normally people do 2-3 phases for a boss which should be the norm imo, if things are mechanic wise and doing that 3x perfect without dying was a real challenge, now these days it's do it once or just a second time and done
