basically you want to run your OS in the fastest drive you can get
and data should be on the slower one
eg you have windows and you play like ff14. in this case you want both in your fastest disk for best performance
and then for like say videos pics documents you have where time is not too critical it should go on the SATA SSD

from what you mention it's trying to load windows which is the slow part where the msi logo appears so I think it's not related to any startup apps at all

hey folks, do you guys know a program or something like yt-dlp that can extract and download frames from a video in 4k?

use ytdlp then ffmpeg?
ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -q:v 0 output_%04d.png
will extract all frames from the video, if you need a segment then i dont remember the args for that but its easy

do you have a snippet too for hq gifs like adobe or gfycat quality ? I tried one that i found before and the color doesnt seem 256 so it looks lower quality than the actual video frames

well gfycat you'd just upload mp4s so you didn't even have to encode it unless you were editing it

they have that true gif version aside from the mp4 you usually play. the fps is not the smoothest but the colors and quality is decent enough

I just used premiere because editing videos in ffmpeg isn't the easiest
the only time I output gifs is for emotes
