I like them like it's basically just what everybody was telling me. Initially the first few songs listening to them none were really standing out to me. It just sounded a lot more clear the audio and I could play music at a lot quieter levels and hear it easier because the sound isolation is just so good. The differences in songs thing though people were saying like only hearing differences in some songs and not in most definitely has been true for me. I went through quite a few songs I was a bit disappointed I didn't hear a difference with, and then I played labyrinth by gfriend and that was the first song where I was like "holy fuck I actually hear it" but I thought it could just be a placebo lmao. Sweet Dream by Weeekly was another song that sounds a lot different on iems vs my airpods given that song has a lot of bass. Lol I went back and listened to a lot of Linkin Park on them too those were fun to listen to with them. There's only been a handful of songs that were like drastically different

I do kind of agree with a friend of mine though they're prob overpriced for what they do

only feel like the a12t is like maybe worth 1k not 2k

@solid fiber Got some new pickups for the yngwie strat. The originals are stacked single coils, but I find they are much closer to single coils than a humbucker sound, and thus way too twangy for higher gain stuff imo. The duncan little 59 on the neck has been my favourite lead pickup so I'm trying the bridge version as well in hopes that it delivers. Classic stack plus for the middle for more funky stuff has worked well so I got that as well.

I will record some demos with both pickups including DI signal, I can send them to you when I get around to do it if you want so you can amp them up as you like through neural plugins or whatever you use these days. I can take ideas if you'd want specific styles, I usually do some general big chords for clear comparison, blues and metal leads, and some funk and metal rhythm stuff

I have the same neck pickup in my RG, I wouldn't say it sounds like a full humbucker, but I actually like it for leads way more than full humbucker, I have hard time dialing lead sounds from a full neck humbucker. I'm curious about the bridge as well, I will do some drop C# chugging too to find out if it's cut for the job. Gonna take a while though since I gotta find myself a pickguard with only one volume pot hole, I don't need tone pots for anything and the volume pot on strats is in the way.

Yeah it might be more useful in a live setting where you can't just go tweak an amp on the fly, but to me it feels like a relic from the 50's that I have no need for. Also the latest Ibanez I got which has the volume pot moved to replace the tone pot, really just confirmed to me that the volume pot on strat style guitars is in the way a lot.

For les pauls I don't think it's in the way too much but it still serves no purpose for me

But also one thing I've noticed on bass, having a lot of knobs I often find i have bumped the treble or something up a bit accidentally at some point, and when I noteice it I have to go record all the parts I just finished playing again because I don't know since when I had the treble up

I don't know for the 770 specifically, but my 880's I've had since 2012 I changed the headband once, pads twice, until I dropped them from way too high and broke them two-ish years ago and got the 1990's

And one of the pad changes was really just because one summer here was really hot and the pads got filthy, I tried washing them but perhaps used too much soap and they shrink too much to put back on

They are really good, just referencing them back to back vs the 1990's out of curiosity, and I gotta say I don't think they really lose in any respect, especially when 1990's are like 500€, just sound a bit different.

I tried sennheisers too before getting 1990's but the sound profile was so alien from the beyerdynamic treble peak land, I bet they are good as well but this is the sound profile I'm used to

Well yes they do, but both are really good. Open back really shines in fps games though where positional audio is important, but for music, for me it doesn't really matter that much. I still do prefer opens though

The 880's I had really didn't have any bass to speak off, 1990's on the other hand have plenty as far as open backs go. But 770's are excellent, perhaps unbeatable for the price you'd be getting them.

And I gotta say after the breaking the 880's and getting the 1990's, I had like two month regretting period about the price being over 3x and the sound not really being that different or better in a noticeable way to me.

That is a big plus yes, but for me personally I've always been really careful with the cables anyway. Also since dropping the 880's, I've been diligent to put the 1990's way to the back end of my desk any time I get up, so if I accidentally ever yank the cable again the headphones don't fly with them.

For listening I don't see much point. For editing and production higher is better because you can do things like slowing down without losing resolution as fast.

Bestest way to listen music, it really takes me away to have even a tiny delay changing songs in whatever streaming services. The organizing is fun until you want to do things differently and have a backlog of thousands of albums, at least for me

For album art I don't still have a good automated solution, album art downloader is great as it can find the album art from itunes etc so it's high quality, but it's not automated, and I don't know if it can be. Even if it could sometimes there's still different versions of albums like remasters which might have slightly different cover or just remaster over it which doesn't look that good

Yeah, and also there's often multiple versions which all have different saturation and contrast, and it sucks to try finding out which is the most correct one. I stumbled upon this when I was finding album art for some of my metal albums and noticed the contrast on the images was way too high compared to the cd's I have on shelf

Yeah double discs are difficult, I currently do this but I'm not sure I like it, separate folders and then just the songs per folder. I'd like everything in same folder but I don't necessarily want the subfolders be named just CD1 and CD2, and putting whole album name twice doesn't feel right either

This is the only correct way. Though for kpop and few bands which spam releases I do YYYY-MM-DD where as everything else I do just YYYY

I dislike music players that can't just show me my folders since my metadata is all over the place, but my folders are good. Especially problematic on phone, almost no player can just show folders for some reason, just based on metadata. And the few that show folders are either horrible in some other ways like not remembering the folder and always having to navigate there from root or something like that
