Those few points may make any ground-up engineered EV more viable to own than the total E waste motor+battery drop-ins of an existing ICE chassis and infinitely more affordable than a overblown EV saloon or van with auto-pilot currently at the pinnacle of electronic drivetrains

I don't know if leasing is a thing in too many other parts of the world, but if I was to consider an EV for my next vehicle, it would likely be on a short maybe 3-year lease at best, operational lease if it was being offered so everything is taken care of by the dealer side.
I don't want to deal with the long-term maintenance and ownership of an EV, especially when it comes to the batteries.
Not as they currently stand anyway.
But they seem to offer great value and are fairly fuss-free for the first 3 to 5 years brand new.
Assuming the charger network and powergrid in one's area is ready for EVs.
