b-but what if Elon catches you
my ublock been useless outside of youtube the entire year
I only see ads on Instagram basically
have you tried purging the filters, adding the new ones they added and then updating them all?
also are you on firefox?
chrome is gonna be useless for this sooner or later with the web environment integrity stuff
nah am on opera

the whole web environment integrity stuff is the most ill tasting news for the web I have tasted recently
hopefully google will just fail with it like with most of their side project in recent years
google will just abandon it after switching everybody to it lol
like everything else they do
chromium itself may not be so bad (although ironic that apple pushed webkit so much for them to abandon it while chromium stuck with it)
but chrome monopoly on browser market is pretty bad with longterm consequences
It's only a monopoly if you're too lazy to switch
Chromium is a free and open-source web browser project, mainly developed and maintained by Google. This codebase provides the vast majority of code for the Google Chrome browser, which is proprietary software and has some additional features. Chromium's logo is identical in shape to that of Google Chrome, but with blue colors instead of being mu...
its a monopoly because basically everything but firefox uses it
less people should use firefox
im tired of getting bug reports that only happen in firefox
Maybe optimize better for Firefox then
what a stupid take
doesn't Safari run on something else now?
honestly though, did nobody learn from IE monopoly/dominance?
just went and gave Chrome a 70% marketshare smh
I'm using firefox on mobile and on desktop. None of the add-ons or extensions that I used to have on Chrome work as well anymore anyway so Firefox all the way.
ah still webkit, or some new version of webkit
but apples been pretty good with keeping it up to date with new browser features
cant say the same about mozilla with gecko
I suppose funding plays a role in that, Mozilla doesn't exactly have a trillion dollar company backing it like Safari and Chrome do
what notable problems do you see with firefox nowadays btw?
i get bug reports every week of just inconsistent css rendering
like this is the main example
yes
i had one last week where this disabled number input had its up and down arrows just turn into a grey blob
just had to disable the arrows entirely in ff since chrome did it automatically
its tiny shit that takes two seconds to fix but its things that shouldnt be an issue in the first place
Couple in Colorado share footage they captured on the train of what they believe to be Bigfoot.
Clearly fake
Bigfoot does not survive in the desert
It's too far from its natural habitat
What if Bigfoot eats rocks and sand
big foot has big feet, no distance is too far
there would be bigfoot(feet?) everywhere if their food source was rocks and sand.
also, John Marston made them extinct
Well, if they hold as strong as the WGA these CEOs can go fuck themselves
Corporate be like "If writers are back we'll simply hire actors who will work for less:D"
It's one of the reasons streaming platforms have been pushing so much Asian content, a lot less of these union headaches for them
FTC is proposing a new rule that would eliminate pesky hidden fees tacked on to purchases such as hotel bookings and concert tickets. https://bit.ly/46Ob49a
Good
Whether it works or not will be in the implementation, enforcement and actually meaningful fines for violations.
I mean... it should just always show the full amount you will have to pay on first glance., that's not even a complicated
Not that ScamItMaster would agree
Include taxes in listed price
More like "include everything in listed price"
Maybe except shipping costs, if applicable
yea but there should be no "fees" . You're selling the product, add your whatever fees to the base price. and then tax on it, and include that as the upfront price
that's how I see it
a fee is just a scam, tax i understand
Well, of course. But then how would Ticketmaster scam you
You don't understand man, the processing fees for no human ever touching the process that runs fully automated on their website is important
no because you are using our website to buy something only we sell, you must pay us a convenience fee for making that possible
yet again. Asking too much
In a shocking turn of events, US officials salivate at the prospect of a genocide taking place
so uh
are they gonna include the email in that article or only take 6 words from it?
cause biden also said this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4R2fyHat5U
"This morning, I spoke with the family members of all those Americans who are still unaccounted for… It’s gut-wrenching. I assured them my personal commitment to do everything possible to return every missing American to their families."
Pres. Biden spoke briefly about his phone call with family members of missing Americans in Israel, adding, "...
That's nice
I hadnt seen it
I wouldn't mind if we do
i dont mind, just pushing back on the tankie rhetoric
is it tankie to call for de-escalation
ty
Yeah it's just a post here
I c

i just hope plant based product stop being a life style product soon, like they are supposed to be cheaper not more expensive
Think one german supermarket actually recently announced that plant based stuff would be priced the same as meat based equivalents now
i mean the west has got the approach wrong
i agree with you that trying to imitate animal based products instead of just changing recipes is the wrong approach but if it leads to less co2 emissions idc
The "looks like non plant product bit is made with plants, WOAH!!!" trend in general needs to die
No, plants based sausage isn't sausage
By definition
And no, plants based cheese is not cheese
Also by definition for that matter
Also this is.... lmao
You're not gonna stop climate change with factory processed plant products
Not even a little

we not gonna stop climate change anyway at this point
like 70% of the worlds soy production goes into feeding animals for meat production
and iirc like 70% of deforestation is done for soy plantations
i mean what is a bit of rain forest against some burger?
if you want to stop eating animal derived products and meat just stop. there are other cultures that exist and which do not use beyond patties and stuff
but people dont want to stop
Your point being? That's essentially a completely different topic in and by itself. We're talking about useless shitty fake meat products that no one needs or wants, really.
then continue eating meat
if plant based imitations make it more feasible for more people to reduce meat consumption then that is a good thing
Thing is... it doesn't.
no
there are actually states of beings between "eats meat every day" and "never eats meat"
it doesnt work that way
yes lmfao
you need a hell of a lot more soy to produce a meat burger than a plant based one
so why would you eat beyond patties on weekdays and then steak on weekend
what purpose does that serve
you have successfully reduced your meat consumption
i disagree the need of them might be ambiguous at best, but there is a want for them what they are selling is the image of environmental friendliness (and with that a clean conscience) and it works
if you want meat 7 days a week, then go for eat. if you only want to eat once a week, you can eat stuff other than synthetic meat
do you think theres any value at all in reducing your meat consumption without completely stopping?
But that's not even what they're selling at all. I haven't seen a single ad going "Eat our plant based shitty copy of the real thing! It's good for the environment!"
They're all like "It tastes like the real thing!" or some shit
(which for the record it doesn't, like, ever)
the other reason is killing less animals i guess
Definitions can change though
Ah yes, the vegan "Oh so you like killing animals" argument
jesus christ, grumpy is going full boomer mode
i, for one, think people reducing their meat consumption is good, actually, for a variety of reasons
and i will leave it at that
I mean he is not arguing against that, he is arguing against fake (plant-based) meat
thats kinda the impression I am getting not sure where the disconnect of perception is coming from here
i think, if you really want to reduce your meat consumption fake meat is not the solution. stop being a coward, and try food that is not a patty between two buns
why not both
this can make switching to vegetarian/vegan diets easier for people and then they can eventually branch out more
Does it? Or is the inferior tasting plant-based alternative having the opposite effect?
i truly fail to see how this is bad beyond you thinking it tastes bad, which, fair enough, you dont like it, dont eat it
This sounds like a McDonalds McPlant Nugget ad
At least McDonalds isn't going "Tastes just like McNuggets" though
i mean if someone told me to make my judgment on how vegetarian food tastes like based on a beyond burger, i would infact find it un appealing
the opposite effect of more people eating meat?
the opposite being people thinking vegan food is shit
^
There is zero things wrong with more people eating meat
like salads
i also think the indian food route would be better since its just goated
salads are shit though, they taste like sad
idk man, there are amazing salads
yes there are
Sounds like you haven't had good salads yet LOL
salads are 99% about the dressing anyway
but the basic salads are horrible and i wouldnt wish anyone trying to eat veg to start with salads
if you are talking fruit salad I agree, but salad is for me mostly vegetables
I also have a strong preference for warm/hot food though
if you just eat straight lettuce then yea, thats pretty fucking depressing
Dressing delivery device
indeed
No one should ever have to eat straight lettuce
Reducing salads to dressing is also sad though
guess I have to improve my dressing game but I never rly cook seperate things its always just one pot meals
The toppings are equally important
i sometime do for dinner, mostly bc im too lazy
iceberg lettuce good tho
some roasted nut can go hard
thats the worst, lamb lettuce the best by far
At LEAST gay lettuce
Superior salad
roasted things in general are most of the times good (besides obv exceptions ofc)
I am very partial to lentil salads lately
worst categories of salads are by far wurstsalat and nudelsalat those things can go straight to hell imo
anyways its lunch time for me, ciao
I'm partial to a combination of corn, red beans, lettuce, bell pepper and tuna
enjoy nay
Yum
Corn is just so goated
I'm so hungry man
Makes so many salads better
afaik fake meat stuff has been getting way better too lol
All I've had is a protein bar
what time is it for you sam?
I trust Chuu fake meat good
I don't eat it personally, I feel like there's way better alternatives to avoiding meat but yeah
This is also a bad generalization tbh
I've had both terrible and amazing versions of these
Honestly I grew up eating soy chicken patties and I never could tell the difference
nope completely correct imo, thats the hill I have decided to die on
Fair enough
I think there's a fair bit of non-meat Korean dishes but then it's like, they have a lot of egg based dishes
that protein bar is doing some heavy lifting
I love me some egg based dishes
It ain't doing shit anymore
The water is carrying
anybody else a boiled egg hater?
Hopefully you at least enjoy potato salad or else you're not allowed anywhere near Germany
every other form of egg is superior in every way
I used to dislike boiled egg but I'm coming around to it
found someone who can't boil eggs
If you mix it with mayo and some salt and pepper it's pretty good
nah the smell alone just makes me gag lmao
Properly boiled egg is great
Yeah egg salad
boiled eggs are alright prefer scrambled eggs though
Gooey egg white boiled eggs are nasty though
I'm a fried eggs/omelettes type of person tho
scrambled eggs are goated agreed
Scrambled is also good
I love over easy eggs
i love poached eggs, can't be bothered making them most of the times though
Gimme a fried egg on top of some toast with some tuna on the side and that's a nice brekkie
I don't think I ever had poached eggs
Scrambled is good if done properly (trust me, you can fuck it up) aka also not slimy/gooey
Omelettes are nice
Oh maybe in Japan actually but I wasn't a huge fan
i think I have eaten more dry than slimy/goeey at least you can save slimy/gooey not dry
In Japan there was like this omelette with like, more raw eggs on the inside LOL
To be fair, Japan.... does things differently.
Yep
But also to be fair a lot of their food is AMAZING
dont rly see the problem with it, salmonella isnt that big of a risk as long as the eggs are properly handled
That one specifically was a bit more of a miss for me but the rest of it was just really dang good
Yeah afaik Japan's egg handling is like top notch
Nah the food was properly made it just, ended up feeling like a weird texture for me
ah i see
maybe I should look for some japanese restraurant near me, ik there are some but I havent visited them yet
This convo is funny bc I'm just gonna order food for dinner I cba to cook
The taste wasn't bad per se, it's still eggs, but it just felt not fun in my mouth LMAO
they do know how to use raw eggs, would not mind proper tamago kake gohan right now
gegg reflex activated fr fr
yeah, if texture of something trips you out it's tough
scotch eggs are goated
Texture is so important. Like, some people can just eat everything no matter how it feels in the mouth but personally I will avoid anything squishy/gooey that is supposed to be solid. Like, if my meat has fat on it I will cut that off, no way I'll chew around on that. Always been that way.
Oh wow never heard of those before
neither did I had to google them, they look good though
Yeah I feel that I'm not a big fan of meat fat either
Some things just shouldn't feel like jelly LOL
Exactly
as long as it isnt alive I can eat it
Braver than US marines fr fr
You know.... there is some seafood that...
tomate soup and potato soup best soups
yeah I have seen it ...
there also is a french dish of live birds
(first I wanted to write like I can eat anything then I had think of the french dish and I thought maybe not anything)
Soup can be really filling, you can fill it up with veggies and taters and it usually lasts a while
That's so plain. Like, don't get me wrong, those can be great... but the best? Naaaaah
soup and stews are one of my favourite dishes especially in the winter
prefer stews slightly though
I like stews and soups because I am lazy cook
With soups you basically either have entrees or main dishes, no in betweens
Actually it's stew season soon, so that's nice
feel like the opposite I dont to them often bc they take too much time, cant exactly keep the range on while I am not looking
I also just like looking for recipes that include rice because it can work well either as a side dish or a main dish
Linsensuppe best soup btw
And it also lasts for a while
Linsensuppe is pretty good
but potatoe soup is up there just bc it can be served with apfelkuechlein
school lunch ruined linsensuppe for me
That's kinda sad tbh
most school lunch is
school and kindergarden are the reason I can't eat european mushrooms
school lunch was always some broetchen and a banana for me, didnt have a mensa at school
damn
But schools probably tend to just chuck bacon in there (and I don't mean breakfast bacon, I mean the gooye kind) for flavor
Which is
(again, gooeymeat is a no go for me
)
whats a good translation for herdplatte btw range sounds kinda awkward to me, now that the germans have gathered
stovetop
I kinda gathered that you meant the level of heat
thanks schmali
That is technically the translation, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that in a normal conversation
i mean how often do you hear people talk about herdplatten
but range is for me like more with gas and is also just awkward in general in my impression
It can happen occasionally, but fair
even in german you dont say herdplatte, you just you put stuff on the stove
But usually it's stuff like "I threw in on the stove" / "into the oven" etc
rly I heard herdplatten every day, who had to clean the herdplatten today? die sehen noch drecking aus NIDUUU!!!
well I like liver dumpling soup with some noodles the most
but kinda takes away the point of fake meat I guess for obvious reasons
dont know that
Ah, so you work in a kitchen
my condolensces
it's czech classic
you make the liver dumplings if you want to make beef broth with noodles fancy, it works
it is classic in czech but if it's actually czech is hard to tell
Eastern European kitchen in general always seems rather (meat) heavy to me
since food around here tends to be common while not being from that country originally
nothing here is actually czech if we are talking about food
most traditional european food is i think
most of the "traditional czech" stuff you can find at christmas markets tend to be hungarian for example
I'd rather not
like trdelník
that's romanian
I used to like pea soup as well
is this eastern european kimchi where multiple nations claim to have invented it?
but didn't have one for like 15 years maybe
we still have it for christmas dinner
Re: English vs. German breakfast btw
https://youtube.com/shorts/i3-1rGP5Ys8?si=Lb6kmS64Ave8qDcn
mom usually makes a fish soup which I'm not really that into
german bread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Oh, absolutely
the more west you go the worse bread gets
I think that's the one thing all Germans can agree on for food
or the closer to a subway you get
we just call the american bread toast bread over here
You really should have capitalized that S, you had me thinking for a bit there
and it's the only place where we will ever put it
I mean, same
still remember all the central europeans in england raiding polish bakeries
I don't even mind those slaps of white flabby toast sometimes
But I just refuse to compare it favorably to actual bread
it tends to be too sweet for me
it was so funny to see sourdough bread being a big thing on english food channels few years back
mmmmmmm sourdough
Fun fact about this, while I am aware that this isn't Czech (I believe it is Hungarian or something) it was the first thing that popped into my mind when I thought about czech food. We had those when we were on vacation in Prague a little over a decades ago
And now we get them, like, once a year from that one place in Germany that has them
can't blame you for that, they market it as traditional czech
too bad it is bread so cope
it's cake
Don't you have some perfectly good tea to throw into a harbor or something
I was actually looking at the boston tea party
and those few crates they threw in the water were worth millions of nowadays dollars
richie must be old
apparently they didn't have like tea bags in there but actualy pressed bricks of tea that was then split and if you bought one you could shave it every day to make a tea and it would last you for a year
from which colonies was the tea from?
no idea
yes, no industrialized tea bag production in 1700's lol
Well, the East India Company did most of the tea trade
So, you know, that general area, including China
most fancy tea still comes in those bricks forms
didnt know that
Well, you don't exactly get these bricks in regular shops
my 3 minutes of googling suggests that the tea was Bohea which is also known as Wuyi tea
which was apparently grown in north of China
Ye
wait north of Fujian province
or online I guess
Well, maybe in the back where they prepare the merchandise
But not on the shelves
ok now that I google more I'm finding an information that it was actually loose leaf tea and not brick
depends on how fancy the shop is, you can definitely request the bulk forms, but also can order them online, sometimes directly from distributors
there's like these tea cakes
that you can order in bulk
We're getting some of our new cakes pressed and wanted to show you the inside of a modern puerh tea pressing factory. This is a fairly small shop, but they do good work. This is just a quick tour, but it highlights the essentials needed to take a pile of loose leaf material and create a package of pressed puerh tea ready to sell.
We are in Yun...
I feel like it's a matter of convenience, really. People nowadays want stuff ready for consumption
these are ready for consumption, you just measure it like you would coffee and brew it
but anyway, thought it was interesting that tea processing on a fundamental level has changed very little aside from packaging it for the end consumer
and food safety guidelines I guess lol
Not much you can change I guess
true lol
those things rule for tea
At the end of the day it's still tea leafs in one form or another
Can't even really go all pumpkin spice latte on tea, tea is tea
might explain why we don't drink as much of it in the US
can't make it into a cocktail of corn syrup
then again we do try ......
if you've ever had sweet tea lol
the american south sweet tea, not just tea that's sweetened lol
apparently the brick tea was more popular in mountainous areas in asia
ah, liquid diabetes
because it was just the way to get it there
I mean yeah, without bricking it, tea looks like this in bulk
yes that's tea not manure lol
Personally I'm a regular ice "tea" consumer, it's my basic thing to drink. I do buy the least sweet kind though. Hot tea if for the cold days alongside the truly superior drink known as hot chocolate
I just make green tea in a mug with a teaspoon of honey
how do you prepare your hot chocolate? I recently learned that hot coco and hot chocolate are not one and the same, and prepared them side by side to compare lol
very different
I mean... if you wanna be technical about it that's true, ye
but hot chocolate did take more work by a few minutes haha
need to get better quality chocolate to try it with
But usually it's obviously just the cocoa powder, cause who in the world has time for that
true
apparently tea drinkers have better brains
ops
I meant to link the world economic forum propaganda version: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/09/tea-protection-against-brain-decline/
but it's just a summary lol
I guess not pumping 4-5 cups of coffee per day likely does have its benefits
why not both
I never got into coffee
on a slightly unrelated subject I would like to try bubble tea, i have now heard several t imes good things about it
same for me, is too bitter for me
are bubble tea places not all over the place where you live?
it feels like every day there's a new bubble tea place popping up somewhere nearby :/
at least in city center lol
i might drink it for the but i certainly dont enjoy it
In germany at least they kinda died out at least here in my neck of the woods
how do you know
yeah they are but I just never went so far
Probably different in Berlin and the like
This headline reads like a "Stan Loona for healthy skin" twt
yes it does hahahaha
they lied to me on this part
bubble tea honestly is just tea flavored sugar water with tapioca pearls for the most part
There's still a couple, usually accompanied by random other "Asian" stuff
Like Asian supermarket with bubble tea corner
Or Asian fast food with bubble tea, etc
You get the gist
would like to try it dont think it will become smeth regular but I would like to be someone who tries out new things rather than just doing the same old things every day
if you find a "Gong Cha" franchised bubble tea place, that's the one to try
gong cha is expensive
bubble tea is expensive
If I ever find one of those I will have to do the Kim Lip challenge
I mean if they're gonna try it once, may as well get a good one
whats the kim lip challenge?
Props to the OGs who remember that challenge btw
death by sugar
Gongcha order: chocolate milk tea - 100% sweetness, less ice, 3x extra pearls.
local place near me has something called the leviathan
flying whales are cool
whats nitro?
The nearest one is only 640km away
Here you go
ow tea chat
thanks grumpy
how was your meal nay?
pretty good
never heard of tea nitro before
it has nitrogen gas in it
you are welcome to give me private lessons any time nay
is it the same as coffee nitro
just ... wow that's far. Just lobby them to open one close by lol
Well, how well educated are you about Sauerkraut
just mix cabbage and yogurt, done!
exactly, but we don't sell sauerkraut in our grocey stores in fancy bottles

or surströmming?
i am gonna pretend I did not see that

or masquerade as tea lattes in starbucks
never had bubble tea either
now there's something worth importing .....
looks nice but not worth the price for me to try it
fermentation rules 💪
i don't think i've had any of these others
bruh the names
what the hell is mylk
can i get a large iced siren
That reads like a cocktail bar drink list
non dairy milk
you need to be more specific
Lmao
i guess it's the brand name
No, it's lemons. Against scurvey.
more like lemons
tea with mylk and sugr
tbf I don't even know what boba is
Mylk is a pretty terrible brand name, but far from the worst
coconut and cashew actually sounds nice
malk
malt good
that is what it is basically, plus tea and tapicoa pearls (and sometimes other kinds of pearls), minus liquor lol
probably more sugar than cocktails too
The worst brand name:
bladderwrack
bladderwrack
well this ought to clear up the sinuses real well lol
idk why people like ginger tbh
i don't know what goes on in here
I just can't consume the stuff
what do you mean
too much seaweed
lol does that shop have something against dairy
Good for you
ik
tumeric does make for an interesting spice with chicken
i did just realize there's 1 drink on the menu that's made with whole milk
the rest either don't have it or use a different kind
this is killing me
yeah lol
And yes, I know it's literally good for you, but when people go "Have a hot ginger tea" when I have a cold I'll say no thanks and have a hot lemon instead
I actually never had tea with milk
dairy milk doesnt seem to be the default anymore in coffee places either
a little bit of ginger in a ginger lemon tea isn't so bad
i actually like oat milk
too much ginger is just .... too much
turmeric has been used for a long time in the west as a cureall™️
I don't mind oat milk, but it's interesting that there just aren't a lot of dairy options for milk teas there haha
shouldnt be that weird
I just don't like it outside of its usage as very mild seasoning
india too, tumeric milk is ancient cureall for us
I guess they are realizing just how many people are allergic and perhaps are unaware lol
As soon as ginger takes over as the thing you taste I'm out
think it's just bc i live in hipster liberal city
there's really only a small minority of the world who can break down milk easily in their bodies
whole milk especially
i like ginger dont think I have rly had the experience of it rly overpowring the taste
I wonder if asian countries use a lot of oat milk and things like mylk as well
No one really just drinks whole milk though
i first saw oat milk when i came to the united states like 2 yets ago
Like, I love dairy milk and even I go "That's a little much, mate"
never had the concept of non dairy milk before
coconut milk is a big thing in indian/thai cooking
yeah but for cooking only
probably other places too
I had a tennis player as a classmate that came to school with a lunch of 3 bananas and one liter of milk
i didnt like the taste of coconut until recently
I find like bottled coconut milk to be a bit bitter, only have found it tasty when it's fresh
the bananas counteract the effects of the milk
tis the way
That sounds like a biohazard
i love coconut
you'd be surprised how powerful the dairy lobby here is and how long they've pushed whole milk into schools and such
the milk section in any super market tells a different story
got milk
classic
those ads are just mind viruses, you never forget
milk at school was a thing over here as well
whole milk is the tiniest section, it's 90% 1.5% and similar
apparently the average german drinks like 40kg of milk a year
kg?
dont remember too many milk ads tbh
ye weird stat
right fair enough, skim, homogenous, half and half, 1%, 1.5% and 2% are pretty common, though whole milk is only a little fattier at 3.5%.
not sure how much an overly small juice box of flavoured milk twice a week actually does to a child
Who tf measured milk in kg
is 40 litres a lot or a little
milk per annum is not a familiar measurement
one jug is ~3.8L
so 10 jugs a year seems ... low
What kind of jugs do you have, jesus
do they count eating yogurt as well into that?
America truly supersizes everything
is that not standard
those are standard?
1 gallon jugs
probably not now that I think of it because they would have to count butter as well
46.1kg
those are like the big ones i assume families with 5 kids buy
a gallon is standard here yeah
in Canada they have 4L ones
lets say slightly less than 1l per week per person
which is just a bit over a gallon
But... why. That milk will just go bad before you can drink it all
I mean, it's pasteurized, it lasts ~1 week, usually it gets used up in that period of time
I also make my own yogurt, so some of it goes to that 😄
i live with 3 other people, a gallon lasts us around a week
they drink way more milk than me though
The many skits about "Dude taking milk from fridge and sipping from the jug without realizing it's bad in time" from US comedy shows say otherwise
we just have those 1l cartons or bottles as standard over here
Surely those are based on real life events
not sure if I saw anything noticable bigger than that
milk in bags was a weird thing to see as well
Ye, this is standard here
I see you've been to Quebec lol
nah saw pictures
You'll actually have a very hard time finding anything bigger
We also don't sell it in jugs
good ol tetra pack
i have milk under my bed
A select few sell it in bottles, the rest is all classic milk cartons
That sounds unsanitary
yeah if you search up like insert american grocery chain milk aisle, you can see just how much milk is on sale in those 1 gallon jugs
and what you don't see is the nearly 2-3x bigger back areas that are constantly pushing them into those fridges lol
I would actually not mind if they started selling in glass bottles again
never been a fan of plastic containers
i did have an incident like this that pushed me to drink oat milk for a period of time
not straight from the carton but i didn't know
See? It's all true!!!!111
speaking of chocolate milk I kinda want to get some müllermilch now
I have some in the fridge
what's that
Banana Müllermilch I believe
it's a brand of flavoured milk

they have a ton of flavours and they are good
i believe in banana superiority
Müllermilch is indeed good stuff
erdbeer geschmack
why does your milk come in a yoghurt pot
some of their "limited edition" stuff is nice as well
and I never saw them in those yoghurt thingies myself
same
Why not
my dad gets milk delivered from a local farm and it comes in glass bottles
But it also comes in these
gah damn
I should look into that, there are a lot of farms nearby here as well, mostly corn but you know, I'm sure there are some dairy farms lol
we have that with those little automats (idk their name)
They've always been in those pots until, like, a decade ago
you know this shit is like pure chemical flavors but it also probably tastes good
That's when they first started introducing those bottles which btw are a scam
shrinkflation
Cause they sell those bottles at the same price as the pot, but 25% less milk
they just sold them in bottles in here immediately
Also the milk in the pots is actually not the same exact flavor as the bottled ones for that matter
misc chat more like milk chat
and probably with a different ingredients as well because fuck czech republic
strawberry from bottle and strawberry from pot do taste very different
kind of random but btw does tetrapack still have those classic pyramid packaging for stuff?
dual quality products is a big problem over here
i can check
Some do, some don't
Many are just flat
(on the top)
ahh
I just have fond childhood memories of drinking milk and flavored milk from those pyramids lol
but it's been many years since I've seen one
even in pictures of recent products
Around here plenty of those still exist, it's just not the one rule any more
i thought you meant the logo asdfghjkl
well the logo comes from that iconic packaging lol
Ok Mr. Illuminati
design brain
ah that on the right is their old logo

very little waste design, and when stacked they became cubes lol
We did not have those
yh I have never seen them before, but its interesting to see how things developed
some remnants of the design still remains in the way they fold the bottom/sides of the rectangular packages still
and when you open it if you want to cut it
ow i remember some company sold candy in packaging shaped like this
i only remember seeing this packaging in at school during lunch
there was a popsicle kinda thing
that had that packaging
I guess we got them first in nordic countries
before it made it to the rest of europe
lol
smth like this
pretty sure it was some popular imported chinese stuff but dont remeber all that well anymore
Which snacks would y'all recommend to someone visiting your country?
Cause goddamn we got some good snacks out here
uh
we have so much stuff
I don't either anymore but if I visit somewhere I just gotta
Err... depends what time of the year it is
also depends on what part of the country you're in
you mean store bought snacks?
And yeah store bought, if I can make stuff at home tho do mention those too
I stopped snacking a while ago need to google for some of them
i also stopped I looked at snack prices again today and manner is like 3.50 that covers my whole lunch
i take back my initial response
this one is good
the food of my people
WOA
banana jelly in chocolate
mediocre italian cookie platter
lol
cookie good
just looking at it brings back memories
You wanna compete in homemade christmas cookies instead of Spekulatius, huh
Those are store bought????
smhmh
DANG
You make this stuff yourself
I wanna copy those pastries
Cultureless swines
christmas cookies are often store bought over here as well
they take a ton of time and people don't have that nowadays even at christmas
also
plenty of confectioners over here though
I mean, taking the time and making them is sort of part of the fun
Christmas sounds like a busy holiday tbh
i also know of them as store bought
Eating half the dough just as is in the process
it is
i like baking with my mom but she's so busy
comes with 4 weeks of getting your mandatory daily bratwurst at a christmas market
Daily sounds a bit excessive, lmao
glühwein my beloved
Also 90% of the people visiting our christmas markets are Dutch in this area and I'd rather not hear that language every day
I wanna bake more but I get worried about more complicated recipes :((
I guess a unique czech snack would be a spa wafer
hmm, that narrows it down quite a lot
God knows why they all come here for the christmas markets, do they really have none of theoir own
Not really, that's the entirety of western Germany
we have an entire box of recipes that my mom inherited from my grandma
i like the dutch, and listening to their funny words
it feels like I am supposed to understand them
you know theyre literally just making up words on the spot right?
Oh those are always the BEST we keep a few recipe books going too!!!
chocolate bar with raisins, jello and peanuts
havent visited western germany that much yet didnt think that would be common
its a dutch past time, tricking others into thinking its a real langugage
they are quite successful at that
indeed
Trust me, it is
I avoid christmas markets like the plague on weekends
grumpy always trustworthy
ok screw that pic
LOL
Mugen still doesn't know how to use snipping tool
it's a rum and coconut flavoured soy bar covered in chocolate
googling a picture of that is always fun
There ya go
Honestly that sounds interesting, I think I'd like it more without the rum flavor though
LOL
a 50% hit rate is pretty good
i live in erfurt so christmas markets on the weekend are basically just standing simulators
I imagine, yeah
this coffee flavoured chocolate bar is also nice
but people tend to talk about it because of the art nowadays
Yeah that's... yeah
there is a bunch of small chocolate bars that are filled witha a chocolate paste like nutella style
YUM
with slightly different flavours that are all good
Like Kinder Bueno style?
kinder bueno has that little biscuit as well
Bueno white the best ones though
I like the original more personally
OH CUTE those are filled with chocolate cream inside right?
YEAHHH I feel like I had those before
Or something really similar
OH I had those too!! Those are good :DDD
this looks like something little me would have loved
if you want to try making something yourself this site apparently exists
it has a desert section
it's not time for youtube to step in
it's time for them to take the matter to law enforcement and then courts
get a restraining order at a minimum
if it's a "both sides of the story" thing, then both sides need restraining orders lol
she should've honestly applied for a restraining order and hit youtube up cause what he was doing is pretty much harassment
and that's it
but then she went and doxxed him so that's uh
yeah
I've honestly never watched either side's content, but both sides need to record all the interactions with times, all the conversations, etc. keep track of everything
she want to "revenge" what he does, but in a wrong way
and take it to police and then court
they never really interacted in that way
he was harassing and making fun of her through videos and stuff because she producers low effort react content etc
stealing other people's content
youtubers have been doing that to each other for eons lol
yeah but he literally made an entire channel just to harass her
and make fun of her content
ah that's a whole other step
very excessive
what an asshole
still, the solution is never to show up at somebody's dwelling space and then doxx them, that's borderline and perhaps over the line criminal harassment.
oh yeah
it's just criminal
straight up lol
just sayin that now that she's done that the story will be pushed mostly against her but he's been harassing her for months
for what I can gather:
- Jacksfilm was complaining about SSSniperwolf about her contents stealing creator's contents without permissions (credits), thus he made a dedicated channel to review her contents about that
- Jacksfilm successfully made creators striking her videos and deleted the clips that were not given their permissions
- SSSniperwolf was mad about his actions
- This
and that's also really fucked

true
surely a choice
honestly, perhaps it's time to bring back duels for honor
back to ancient times
I mean it was legal in the US until like mid 1850's lol
well, in some states anyway
sometimes modern problems call for medieval solutions
because clearly grown humans can't act like responsible and reasonable and rational adults
Tbf I don't think there's any actual harm done by react content and people are just self righteous and silly about it
Actually, I am sure there was harm done one time or another, but that's among thousands of other times where it just does not matter
yeah but there is a line between reacting and just stealing and profiting of other peoples work
trickle down economics dont work any more in youtube than irl
There is harm done by it when the reaction overtakes the og video and gets way more attention/views while the og creator gets none of the revenue generated by that
It can be pretty rough, and even if your channel gets more attention because the big youtuber/streamer did a react to your video, that boost doesn't get close to the amount that person made by just reacting to your video
good thing there's fair use laws around that already
there's also a case to be made for the age old piracy claims
realistically someone watching a reaction to a video was never going to watch the original in the first place, so there's no lost revenue in the first place
fair use laws and regulations as well as corporate terms of service with regards to that are applied really selectively with YouTube content.
the whole copyright system needs to be redone from the ground up anyway
unless your channel is in the millions to tens of millions of subscribers, YouTube lets the alleged copyright holder basically be the judge and jury lol
the appeals system is garbage
it is so prone to abuse by fake copyright holders, there have been some notable cases too
with entities fleecing hundreds of thousands in revenue
the way it works is youtube has to do it, cause otherwise youtube is the one thats liable
not that the majority of creators have to money to do that
Yeah, no. You don't "both sides" a situation where one of the parties goes to the other party's house in the middle of the fucking night and doxxes them live on IG while doing so.
She had plenty other ways to handle the situation (and given the size of her god awful channel she has the resources to use them)
What she did is straight up a crime and there is a good number of states in which he would've had the right to just shoot her on the spot
Bad way to handle
she doesn't just react to videos
oh wait i didn't read the harass part before
she straight up crops the captions and tells them herself stealing jokes from the comments of the videos and also not giving credit to the original videos
like removing the watermarks in some cases
she still did a crime with doxxing so well
in some cases there are videos where she just plays the video in her compilations without any reaction just straight up stealing the content
those videos have been brought to light by Jacksfilms which resulted in a reaction from original creators of those videos and she was forced to delete some videos
so I guess she is just escalating from calling him cringe and unfunny to this now
Basically none of this matters. She showed up at his house unannounced in the middle of the night and doxxed its location to millions of people on IG. Yt beef stays on yt.
There is absolutely no excuse for what she did, really none.
And her posts very much prove it wasn't a spur of the moment decision, she planned that
And thought it was smart to post it for some reason
Indeed, how they thought this was acceptable is appalling really
just don't think this is a both sides fault imo
Of course it isn't
It really isn't
The quest 3 is a game changer
BREAKING: Epic Games lays off roughly 50% of Bandcamp amidst its sale to Songtradr.
The Fortnite maker purchased the music platform just last year but is now spinning it off amid massive cost cutting.

Well
Fuck indie music, amirite
sounds like same thing as twitter
People need to stop comparing every acquisition to Twitter. Twitter was a rich manchild fucking around and finding out
that you can't just back out of already valid business deals
For all intents and purposes it's an anti unionization move, but it will hurt the one platform that indie music has left, basically
Make it stooooop
That's... oddly specific charges
Bruh walked into a specialist clinic here no appointment because I've been dealing with a lot of problems for the last week. Cost me fucking $12
HEALTHCARE SYSTEM HERE TOO GOOD
In and out in like 10 minutes total
wdym, US healthcare clearly superior. If you don't go into debt for a hospital visit what's even the point
Yep this is how Korea wins me over
Not through kpop
But not having to worry about going to see a doctor
Cost me $24.83 and like 20 minutes of my time
He just doesn't wanna have to do something about the literal nazis on his platform. Gee, I wonder why.
????????????????
isn't that like a 30% increase wtf
The only reason they need is that they think they can get away with it
there's not even anything good on netflix anymore
hey, one piece was good
My mom, who rewatches Eternal Love every two weeks, begs to differ
Hey, many of the Kdramas on there are good
true!
Confirming SSSniperWolf has received a temporary monetization suspension per Creator Responsibility policies. Off platform actions that put others’ personal safety at risk harm our community & the behavior on both sides isn’t what we want on YT. Hoping everyone helps move this convo to a better place.
Thank God it's solved now
would have been wiped out the channel but noneless yea
idk if demonetizing her for a week or so is "solving the problem"
But I guess it's better than nothing
harassed her for months
that doesn't justify what she did of course
and the punishment for her there is a joke lmfao
Making react videos for react videos isn't harassment. At worst it's silly yt beef where one of them is a content thief who never bothers crediting the people they're reacting to and the other one does.
I'd say making a youtube channel exclusively to make fun of her is harassment
Opinions may differ there I guess
That's a misconception
That channel existed for a long time
And he had done that exact same thing of reacting to shitty reactors before
So no, he did not create a channel specifically to harass her and no, him arguably quite viciously pointing a finger at a shitstain of a person wasn't new either
Also no, I don't watch either of them or really care, but facts are facts and anyone who is two siding this needs to reevaluate tbh
@TeamYouTube @jacksfilms @YouTube
💖 53
tbf youtube doesnt really have to address this, they arent the police
instagram should 100% ban her though, it was their platform she used to do it
Youtubes rule said that you can't doxx someone on and offsite
What people want YouTube to do is remove her from the platform
She left an apology and everyone claims that it sounds like it's written by ChatGPT lol
Sure
I'm sorry for them too, they've really gone downhill since they peaked in the late 90s
Shit just won't be as good as mellon collie
nostalgia comes
1979 plays in the background
nostalgia passes
Lmao had to go to the doctor again. This time they freaked out over me not having health insurance here since I'm a tourist
They were like ahh... It's going to be expensive
Had to do a like hearing test in a room and (next part can be kinda gross so spoiler) ||they gave me anesthesia in my ear and had to use a vacuum sort of probe to clear the congestion I had from being sick that was affecting my hearing||
Gave me the bill
Yep 83k won
This would have absolutely been over 1k or more in America

Medicine again for this 17.6k again
