There's an ongoing shift for right/far-right towards governance or at least being part of the governing coalitions across the west for some time now. In Europe you see it in Italy, Sweden and even Finland.

US had theirs in 2016 with Trump coming into power and GOP's increasing more right-wing candidates getting a supermajority.

Hungary has been that way for some time, Poland too I would guess, but I know much less about that.

People are disillusioned with conventional parties and are basically voting center/center-left parties out (or abstaining from voting altogether) as sort of punishment, rather than necessarily voting for far-right, just happens that the right is often the alternative. Economy being bad and getting worse for the average person tends to push people towards voting for more fiscally conservative parties as well. And depending on which expert on these matters you ask, immigration and general skepticism for the democratic process are big drivers as well.

YT's new "Enhanced 1080p" has about the same bitrate that their old 1080p VP9 encoded videos had (in some cases, perhaps improved by 20-30%), they just reduced it on the new 'non-premium 1080p' to make the "enhancement" seem way more pronounced than it should have been.

it's always hard to translate numbers to quality differences, a lot of compression research usually looks at that stuff
