I watched one video that really touched on the issues of the newer pokemon games, being how empty the game feels (in ss there's a lot of empty space but the areas are blocked off), linear progression of the towns (in the older games you'd have to bounce around the map to unlock the towns and you'd have to go back later on in the game when it was unlocked, dk if this makes sense) and just how hand holdy the game feels
