I was reading about how the mangaka for The Ancient Magus Bride loved Wit Studio's anime adaptation so much that she gave an advanced copy of Chapter 45 to the studio well over a month before publication because the second to last episode of the anime had already caught up to the released chapters and she didn't want some anime original ending or just a summary for the studio to go by.
and Wit Studio did her a favor in return by making a 3-minute PV for Volume 10-11 that immediately follows the ending of the manga.
At least one account of what happened said it like that anyway lol

Everything after ||their first real date||, which is the ending of the movie that came after Season 3, is melodrama in the manga for the most part anyway, the tone completely shifts for the most part. Heck, even that movie was darker and more dramatic in tone compared to the more comedic lighthearted 3 seasons.
and a significant portion of it is focused on side characters and frankly near the end some serious character assassinations, that's all that could be said without spoiling
so tardwrangling that shit down to two movies with Aka's less-bored focus now might be in both Aka and A-1's interest
