while it does feel like the author just hates hina and wants to bully her and humiliate her in the story, the behavior is entirely consistent with high schoolers
||I mean taika and chinatsu have been together for like over a year and nothing really has happened in their relationship lol||
high schoolers and college students change love interests and significant others on a whim more often than not anyway
out of like 25-30 couples I knew in high school and college, a grand total of 4 of them stayed together into their 20's and only two of them so far have gotten married

starts off first 5-8 chapters pretty generic though so if you do decide to look at it, hang in there lol

honestly ||it's somewhat realistic of high school romance, the courtship chase is something almost romanticized in fiction but kids get together on a whim if they even have the slightest interest in one another that ends up being mutual and reciprocated lol||
