How to turn 2v2v2v2 into fun CTF:

#

Every base has a turret, an inhib, and a mini boss. Killing the mini boss drops a flag (similar to how shelly drops the eye of the herald). You carry the item back to your base to score the point, but if you die it drops for anyone to take. If the defender picks their own flag up they need to walk it back to respawn the mini boss (maybe nerfed so that it has half its health.)

#

But once the flag is out, anyone can bring it to their own base to score the point, not just whoever killed the boss

#

When a flag is scored, the boss and inhib respawn but not the turret. The boss should be stronger on respawn (because players scale up)

First team to score each opponent’s flag wins. Then the rest of the teams compete for second and third.

Once all the other teams have scored your flag, you’re automatically out

#

(That way games can’t stalemate since eventually a team will be eliminated)

#

All four flags can be on the field at once, it’s not like other bosses don’t spawn once one of them dies

#

There could be some neutral objective somewhere to create pressure besides taking flags. I’d imagine a mini baron that empowers minions, although an elder dragon type of thing may be necessary to help end games of game length becomes an issue (although there are less drastic measures like making the bosses weaker or relatively weaker on respawn or removing the inhibs entirely)

#

But the game would be structured like a ~10 min lane phase followed by chaos once the towers start to fall and people start going for flags

#

Another cool idea is that every tower has a single plate at half health (plates fall at 10 mins). To get the plate you need to be super fed or be focused by all teams, but of course cross team cooperation can be super risky (especially for a single plate) because you could take one tower shot then a full 4 team fight breaks out under this turret to get your kill gold (because 300>150 lol)

Also the possibility of 4 lanes converging in the center is an interesting idea but I think that would make pushing impossible. It’s more likely that the mode has no minions or 2 lanes that go to adjacent teams rather than one that goes to the center. In that case maybe 2 inhibs? They’d have to be weaker for sure

#

Players probably start like aram with 1100 gold and level 3. But gold generation is like SR so that people don’t get full build in 15 mins like aram (since games should be around 30 mins)
