My guess is that they probably had a price tag of 549 planned for the 9070 XT as well and 499 for the 9070

First implementation of frame gen has also been pretty mixed. Some games it seemed to be very fine, others kinda messy. A couple of generations of frame gen later and we'll probably have a very good experience

It's not about looking wonky, they just don't like how realistic they look to the point it's uncanny. Sims community especially prefered something in the middle where is still has a touch of cartoonish look. Sims 3 had a good attempt at that for example.
