at least 10 new major big bosses, but there's plenty of side minor bosses too in side dungeons and roaming the overworld
dlc shadow of the erdtree first area is close in size to limgrave+wheeping peninsula+a little bit of caelid, it's big, it's dense
30~50h playtime for this expansion if you rush
there's no recommended level, but it seems that between 120~150 is a safe bet, considering that people normally beat mohg and malenia at 120~130.||

I mean, no. NG isn't neccessarily more difficult unless you make it so. NG traditionally is "Take your stuff into a new run and be unbeatable God" mode

right, stats also dont work the same way in the new expansion. i doubt ng is the same either, everything is changed so that ppl, that have finished the game in ng+ and further aren't overgeared for the new expansion until way further into it. seems to have had quite a negative impact

Seems like the problem seems to be that your power level in the dlc is always ng0 level, since its a separate power system and youre going in for the first time, but the enemies scale with your ng+ level

And im guessing a lot of people dug up their old saves where they maybe started ng+ or even higher levels

there are two items that need to be picked up in the dlc as a different leveling up system. they even mentioned it in interviews.
Scadutree Fragments are for the player, Revered Spirit Ashes for your summons.
it's a way to start at an equivalent level one in the dlc.

as for leveling up the new weapons, there's a ton of smiting stones that drop in case you don't have the bell bearings to get them through the Twins

it's a pretty good idea. makes it so you don't have to level up/down to do the dlc and not roll over all the new content. it's somewhat easier to "level up" as you literally can explore the map to get the fragments/ashes.

the difference with the dlc is that on top of that, they added a different progression system so you can’t really overlevel with rune level
