Because Nvidia is very cringe

And a 4070 can very well be slower than a 4050

Yet at the same time a 4070 can also be faster than a 4090

Which all comes down to the TGP

You want to check the specs of the laptop to see how much wattage the gpu uses

MSI for example in basically anything but their super high end laptops uses the lowest power draw you can imagine for the GPU resulting is really poor performance

Lenovo on the other hand tends to just give the GPU's all the wattage that they can have

Resident Evil 4 Remake in my experience when I had the 3070 Ti was anything but well opimised (very high CPU usage) even with RT off and in places with few NPCs. Also Forza is definitely biased toward VRAM, much better experience on AMD 6700 XT or anything with more than double digits in mem cap

then again I never really revisited it after upgrading the PC to next gen on CPU and GPU. It was okay at 2K 70Hz

Barely any other scenes than bright outdoors forest. So much effort gets put in pretty sun lighting but interiors and especially caves and dungeons lag far behind in comparison. I don't really get it since that's where most of the actual gameplay happens, at least for me, maybe other people just play forest screenshot simulator

what Skyrim and TES was loaded with from the start were: caves, antiquated relic/tomb sites, bandit/goblin hideouts, daedric castle manifestations, etc

Yeah, quick google search for how interiors look with Nolvus (outdated images though) and it looks pretty good as well

The issue is still that while the main towns and locations look decent, most caves and dungeons are very inconsistent, and I've encountered some weird lighting bugs in all of them too. The trailers and screenshots only show you what they want you to see, not the whole picture.

I just looked what combat looks like in nolvus since the trailers never show any "gameplay" beyond character walking around, man it looks straight outta two worlds (perhaps bit more modern). Everyone seems so keen to be making skyrim some weird third person forest walking simulator with dark souls combat. To me skyrim was always a first person game, what would be perfect for me is skyrim but somehow get the melee combat from mordhau, it's so far beyond anything else.
