late game diplomacy isn't nearly as fleshed out as warband's, troop microing in battles feels a lot better (especially with most recent update, can target specific formations now), siege battles feel incredible now, there's a family/lineage/clan system now, this dictates your relationships instead of on an individual basis like in warband, a better variety of quests, character leveling involves distinct perks now instead of just stat increases, and lots of QoL changes
