Game Freak has shown for years that they struggle to develop for more powerful hardware
hell, they struggled to develop for the Game Boy
they need new hires that know what theyre doing on the switch hardware
this is not a switch limitation, we've seen good looking and performing games on there. Breath of the Wild was great looking and ran great and that was a launch title. Super Mario Odyssey is another. but these game freak devs just struggle to do the same. i dont think they even really grasped the 3DS hardware until Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the last pokemon on 3DS

You don't have to go high end at all, my headphones are only €140 and I can say with confidence that not a single gaming headset even gets close
I think something like DT 770 Pro's should be even cheaper and they easily beat any gaming headset as well
But if you do want a gaming headset, the Steelseries are still really good. The Razer Blackshark V2 is also pretty good

I have no problem hearing what is where with normal headphones, I'd say I hear it more clearly even than with gaming headsets due to wider soundstage
