I wanted to float an idea that could level up our roleplay experience for folks looking to flex more advanced storytelling and character depth.
🔹 Proposal: Create a separate channel or category dedicated to more professional, in-depth RP scenarios—think complex plots, multi-layered character development, and immersive formatting.
🎯 Why This Could Be Awesome
• Quality Control: Keeps casual RP flowing in general channels while giving advanced writers space to build intricate scenes.
• Growth & Motivation: Encourages newer members to level up and explore deeper RP styles.
• Lore Expansion: Great for tying into server-wide arcs, prestige roles, or hidden story threads.
• Respectful Space: Reduces scene clutter or interruptions for those working on longform RP or formatting-heavy scenes.
🧠 Implementation Ideas
Option 1: Level-Gated Access
Use server level or participation tags to grant access (e.g. users who’ve reached Level 30 via activity). Incentivizes meaningful contributions.
Option 2: Application-Based Entry
Players submit a brief sample or intent post—mods approve based on effort, not elite status. Encourages growth while maintaining quality.
Option 3: Rotating Spotlight RP
Each week or month, a featured plot runs here—hosted by skilled writers or moderators. Keeps it fresh and collaborative.
Option 4: Invite-Only Channels
Private RP studios for small groups or event-driven stories. Could also include staff-monitored lore zones.
