We already have ar-15, in the form of the m-16, there is no difference between them other then their ejection systems

THE AR-15 IS A SEMI AUTOMATIC GUN THAT IS CHAMBERED in .223 Remington or 5.56×45mm NATO, with the .223 Wylde chamber allowing for the safe chambering of both, but many variants have been produced in different calibers such as .22 LR, 7.62×39mm, 9×19mm Parabellum, 6.5mm Grendel, and shotgun calibers. AND THE M16 (a1,a2 and a3) are automatic rifle (with interchangeable firing modes.) Like Auto, semi auto, and burst. but the a2 is mostly used in burst. Plus, The AR-15 and the M-16 Are NOT the same Gun.

You can buy ar-15s full auto enabled, the only difference between the two are the ejection systems

And yes i know you can swap out barrels to rechamber
