Those are a one-time thing, and generally not worth it.
It just gives you enough coins to hire them right now. You'll get them in time naturally.

As for if the pack is worth it for you, it sounds like you don't currently have the money to comfortably do it. In that case, wait.
Lilu, Argon, Yami, and Sia should visit once per day (sometimes delayed if they're on a quest or you have another Champion waiting in the queue).
The others pop up every other day, but give 6 coins instead of three,
