Doesn't this just take Rolands skill and Mundras skill and combine them? You fuse the ability to pick your skill through upgrading instead of just making dice and going for luck

No Roland's skill is to choose whatever skill you want, and it's exclusive to those who bought Roland, this item can upgrade bronze ver to silver ver, and if they make it exclusive to extreme and only one of the events and give only one then it makes it so people who don't want to buy Roland also have a chance at having a good hero with good skills by not spending as much time rerolling the hero, Roland's skill will still be better

Roland exists because people wanted stuff like this. Just like how the talent to suggest items to the king exists because people wanted the ability to manipulate king bait more. An example is how people will still ask to be able to have quality items not automatically display on racks. This would let people hide their king bait in the back so they don't need the talent

In your case people can already make die for free, and they're given in events. Upgrading from say to : is something many people use Roland for.

Does are not guaranteed and most of the time you end up getting a worse skill, and Roland is for people who want to pay, what about those who don't want to spend irl money for an in game item. They have absolutely no alternative, also dice are expensive to fuse and you barely get any for events, it will take ages to get a desired skill with die, it will be much easier to reroll the entire hero with gold, but leveling up those heroes is a pain, and it's not like you have an infinite amount of xp items to give to heroes just to see the 3rd skill and then reroll again.

Adding an item that just upgrades the skill makes it more accessible to f2p players, all the devs have to do is make it difficult to obtain and they still get revenue from the p2w players
