#Roster Review

Important Notes: Please read
- Do NOT fire more than three heroes at a time. If you see more than three heroes under the "fire now" category, assume that they have the same priority for being fired.
- The above note does NOT apply if you haven't filled out all hero slots for your available Merchant Level. If you can have 18 hero slots but only currently have 15 hero slots. Your biggest priority is to fill out those slots
- Heroes under "fire now" or "fire later" categories may have special notes attached which will say if they are especially bad or if you can keep them till last to fire
- Please don’t be shy to ask anything! I’m just a normal girl behind the screen, who loves helping people and totally down to explain stuff if needed!
Terminology
- Fire now: A hero with skills that are almost irredeemable and should be fired as soon as possible. Adds no value to the team right now, or are the weakest links of the roster.
- Fire later: Heroes that have no long term value, and that you will replace down the line. Typically split into high priority or low priority depending on how usable the set is in the short/long term. Assume high priority if unspecified
- ODC (One dice check): Using one skill dice to reroll a skill at a certain skill slot.
- S1/S2/S3/S4: Refers to the skill slot of a hero. S1 is the first skill for all heroes and is obtained at level 5, S2 is obtained at level 10, S3 at level 23, S4 at level 35. Note that some classes are only able to obtain up to S2/S3 naturally, without being promoted using titan souls
One last thing, before I begin the analysis! Could you please provide the following information?
- Do you ever plan on getting Mundra, or Roland? (Totally fine if not, just asking because I noticed that people tend to write "No" but plan on getting them)
- You said you had 2 reroll dice, but which tier are those?
- What are your goals? Good enough heroes, great heroes, perfect heroes (eventually)
Oh! I just found your old post!
It's actually better to reuse an old post so that I know what I've already told you before hehehe
I checked and saw that neither of you are planning on Mundra/Roland, so no need to answer that!
1.) I'm thinking of buying one of them this Christmas, unsure who to get first
2.) Two Mega-rolling dice
3.) Great Heroes
Oh! Okay I'll do that
Both of them have great merits, I can help you with listing out their pros and cons after we're done with your roster :D
Or if you'd prefer to know about them now, I can also start with that
Since it's actually easier to discuss premium worker advantages than doing a roster analysis hehe
#📚|new-player-discussion message
In fact, I've already talked about it very briefly here!
I didn't go too much into detail because I was worried about giving too much information, feel free to ask any followup questions in regards to Mundra/Roland!
I'm actually planning to buy both in the future but I'm leaning towards Roland first because it's a guaranteed roll and dual wield items are cool (and expensive)!
Maybe one of them this Christmas and another this march. Would Mundra be better overall? I'm planning on stayng royal merchant so I wouldn't need repair kits as much
Roster statistics:
Archetypes:
- 6 Red
- 5 Green
- 4 Blue
Elements:
- 2 Water (At least two archetypes
) - 3 Earth (At least two archetypes
) - 3 Fire (At least two archetypes
) - 1 Air (At least two archetypes
) - 2 Dark (At least two archetypes
) - 2 Light (At least two archetypes
) - 1 Spellblade
Hero slot: 15/15
Quest slot: 5
Well, since you mentioned that you want to keep up Royal Merchant, I'd lean heavily towards Roland now!
One thing you may want to note is that you don't want to immediately use his ability on all your heroes!
Since his ability is single use per hero, there actually are very specific times when you'd want to use his ability
Important note right away:
You don't NEED to use Roland immediately.
We can only use his ability to choose a skill ONCE per hero so there is zero harm in holding onto that until you're absolutely sure you know what you want to do with it.
When you are ready, Roland's three best use cases are these situations:
- When a hero is basically done. They're one skill away from perfection and you will never touch their skillset again. This should be the final thing you do - roll for any other skills you want FIRST and then use Roland to finish them off. It's highly recommended that you use the Hero and Quest Simulator here (use the "?simwhat" command on this server to see what you're looking for).
- If you don't care about having truly perfect skillsets, then Roland is a good option to get the hero to a good place to where they won't have any issues clearing content.
- You know for a fact you're going to fire the hero at some point. In this case, the single use per hero restriction doesn't matter because you're not keeping them anyway. Here, it's a good idea to swap out one skill to get a really strong one so the hero will be a better workhorse in the time you have them.
Wait I have a Knight and Cleric, those are Light right
Yeah! They are!
But it doesn't show in your roster?
Oh wait
I missed them
Oh oops
Sorry! I edited it haha
Oh so Roland is for finishing up "perfect heroes"
Or good enough heroes! Since you did say you wanted to target great heroes
Have to Soul most of them up before using his abilities
As long as they can clear the hardest difficulty with a decent comp ig~
Perfect heroes would take me forever 😂
Dancer 1: Usable
Dancer 2: Good enough
Dancer 3: Good hero
Dancer 4: Great hero
Dancer 5: Perfect dancer
Just as an example of course!
Please do not copy that build exactly because even dancer 5 is not "perfect"
Test Dancer 4 is good for me~
I just wanted to illustrate the differences hehe
And now that you've seen the difference, I'll be deleting the picture before some new player reading this, tries to copy that build exactly
Will get a dancer once it unlocks so I can get 2 air archetypes
Sorry! I was a bit busier earlier, I'm back!
I'll do the analysis soon gimme a while :D
Take all the time you need~
Hmm, I gave it a quick look and it doesn't seem like I need to do a deeper analysis
Your heroes are great! Some of them are missing a thing or two, I will leave a note for those
But to summarize things
For the heroes with their full natural skillset
- Promote all t1-t2 classes except for Manfred
- Promote all t3-t4 attacking classes
- Paola/Malda are lower priority for promotion because they're fighters
- Shayla and Regas have higher priority for promotion for T3/T4 attackers not because they're stronger, but because they're missing a critical component in both of their kits (Bonus attack)
For the heroes without their full natural skillset
- Check all of their next skills
The only hero you may want to reconsider is Manfred. S1 is great because it helps you get to higher levels quicker, but it's not a good skill to keep on a hero where you're already high enough level.
Decide what you want to do with them. If you want to keep them, then maybe level them up to 38 with help from S1 then do a ODC on S1. If you don't want to keep them, then ODC now or even rehire right away. But once you get Mundra and get to the higher levels, S1 die are very cheap and quick to make so I would lean towards keeping just for that.
For Manfred, it comes down to the following:
- Are you willing to spend more time crafting/fusing basic skill die to not go through the hassle of rehiring?
- Or are you willing to spend more time rehiring a new cleric and getting them levelled up all over again?
- If you answer neither to question 1 & 2, then fire and hire a different class until later on when it's significantly easier to reroll/rehire heroes 😛
Anytime! Always willing to help :D
Nooo don't reroll it haha
You want 98% evasion on a pathfinder because extreme quests have a -20% penalty towards evasion
Pathfinders (Promoted wanderers) have an evasion cap of 78% so you want 98% total evasion to negate the penalty!
Oh, and also!
Using lower rarity enchanted gear will always beat out high rarity unenchanted gear
Omg thanks for that info! I'd have regretted it big time if I rolled lmao
It's not really fair because none of the gear on the right is enchanted at all but this is a comparison on the extreme end haha
Omg...might have to spend alot to re equip everyone....
Nooo it's okayyy
I actually didn't care about spirits until I hit really sunken temple haha
I only gave them the regular elements for skills
But once I did have my first properly enchanted hero, she was a unit!
At what level should I use the XP potions that give 1 level?
After 27 is when it'd be better but I'd probably save it for 34 onwards
Getting many heroes to 35 quicker to see their 4th skill is great
Oh...okay I'll wait until t11 or 12 gear and until i can unlock the highest level elements~
Then getting them to 36 to be able to equip T14 equipment is really important too!
Umm, minor correction, but the highest level elements are T14!
The best enchants/spirits are all locked behind T14
OH then I'll just wait until 11/12 gear sfjajh
You do occasionally see people using certain T9/T12 spirits but it's rarer to see those! The ones that do see any sort of use are Mammoths for all fighters at any point in time, Tarrasque for champions, and Christmas only for Santa's Present Bag (T14 Quiver)
Other notable mentions are Hydra for levelling new heroes from 10 to 35 quickly and are very cost effective!
Carbuncle which is good when you're evasion capped by 1% (Example, ninja with 96% evasion)
Dinosaur for one turn samurai's
...the road ahead to T12 is so long...
Otherwise everyone else equips T14 spirits
It is, but enjoy the process~
Thank you though! Will reread these and will re-ask again once i reach merchant lv60 give or take
You should come back at ml53 too!
That's when you get access to the best classes in the game
But for your case, it's a bit harder because you have a lot of T1/T2 heroes that are great
Not that T1/T2 heroes are bad by any means, but you functionally require a titan soul for them to be doing anything significant
Being limited to only 1 titan soul a month would make your roster take significantly longer to promote all of them
Oh okay! Will be getting a dancer and a geodude but I think I'll pass on the berserker because I like the barbs more lol
True, I'm actually hoping to get the questing tree ability that can give me a chance to get an extra soul but it's still so far lol
I'm also a fan of the barbs, but they require a titan soul to function while berserkers are very strong without the use of the titan soul!
Yeah, it will take a long time to get there too!
XP requirements are only increasing further and further!
The earliest possible level to get that talent without spending any gems is ML57
But that requires you to have 4 achievement talent points which most people do not have
So you're looking at ML60 for it IF you've bought RM or ML61 if you haven't bought RM
What are achievement talent points?
There are 5 achievements in this game that gives you a talent point for clearing them!
:0
- Be Royal Merchant at any point in time (Just once is fine)
- Have all 3 pets at level 99
- Mastered 750 blueprints
- 50,000 collection score
- Beat Tower of Terror
Actually... now that I'm saying this, it is technically possible to get 4 of them before ML61 but it's highly highly unlikely to do 3 & 4 before that
And even 2 will be really hard
So... the earliest for most people would be ml60
Yeah that's unrealistic for me rn...
Tower of Terror is the only one that has an ML requirement, you need to be ml67 to even attempt that tower
Is it worth spending gems on the talent tree?
Yes and no
Yes it is worth it once you've hit a point where it takes forever to gem it
For most people it is ml70
But if you're really active and level really fast, then I would say 80+ is where it really slows down
No it isn't worth it earlier on, because there are far better places to spend gems on such as the 8th and 9th expansion slot
You're also not getting an extra talent point, you're just paying to get it earlier and saves you some gold
Since you're ML50, if you gem the next talent point, what that means is that you get the talent point for ML51 right now.
Once you get to ML51, you won't be able to unlock the talent point there because you already bought it in advance
Oh okay...
For now, the single best use of gem in the game, is to save it for ML60
You want around 9k gems for this
You'll be using 4k gems to buy the 8th shop expansion and 5k gems for the 9th one
Once you get to ML60, you'll unlock the next shop expansion (7th) for gold. You want to buy it with gold
Once it's done, you will spend the 9k gems you've saved up to get the last 2 expands with gems
...i've been spending gems to buy higher rarity gear/elements/spirits....i'm gonna start saving up my gems now LOL
That's because the next shop expansion unlock with gold is at ML75 and the final one is at ML80
I'm learning alot. Thank you sm 😭
Of course!
Not really a bad idea by any means, but you usually want to save for the 9k gems first before spending it elsewhere hehehe
And you want to be getting t14/t15 bis equipment with gems if you do want to
Because that's the kind of equipment you'll be using on your end game roster and won't really change!
And uhh... did I mention that levels aren't easy to get
Yes you did AHAHHAhshdhhas. Will be back in a few weeks once im 53 lmao thank you once more~
Level 69 to 70 is 717,699,300 XP
Level 74 to 75 is 1,644,179,800 XP
Level 79 to 80 is 3,766,624,000 XP
